Hey, wait a second. Let’s clear this for a while, folks (yes…
before you complain about my content): We are not talking about music and
history here yet, huh?
Damn it. I am not fan of Jimmy Fallon (I don’t even have a
clear reception of channels 21 and 29 – which is Solar News Channel and 2nd
avenue, respectively – to watch any foreign late night shows). And being an avid
J.T. listener brought me here… in these 4 segments in an 18-minuter flick. By
the way, forgive me for being a late-bloomer in terms of having such fascinations
to several mainstream shits – like this.
Honestly speaking, I have no idea that they actually do this
shit at all. I have yet to do my research for this, ‘cause all I only know is
that these two (yes, that TV talk show host Jimmy Fallon and N SYNC-starred member
Justin Timberlake) are good friends – BFF or Best Friends Forever, according to
some news reports in the world wide web. Besides… screw it, I only knew this
tandem when they showcased that #Hashtag video on where else but on that premier
(and Google-owned) video-streaming site.
Well, after some minutes of Googling everything about this
shit, according to several articles from SPIN magazine, History of Rap was
first aired some time in 2010. There are talks though that J.T.’s open to
create its “part 5,” that’s according to RapFix, one of MTV.com’s sections.
History of Rap as it seems, eh? Though not the typical
educating manner (and I don’t think they aim for that at all). And I think they
name that segment as such, because they performed those rap music dating back
from yesterday to the present era. As in it’s like a “generation to generation”
mash-up. Well, not bad – it’s all for the ages anyway.
At least, if there’s something I can really appreciate at
this point of time in Hollywood, it's the… well, there I have it – that rapping
mash-up and medley segment from that Late Night With Jimmy Fallon show. Though I have to
admit, I liked their third part the most. I wish they make more segments like this, rather than those pieces of crap which really ruin the hip-hop's real art form (well, if you know what I mean).
Thanks to YouTube for that random browsing moment anyway. That
made my Saturday. I’d like to lop this heavyweight shit all night long… well,
tonight! Just to satisfy my cravings.
Anyway, in case you have watched the featured video, and you
have no idea on what music did they perform, here’s something to help you
educate yourself. Yes, the entire list of songs performed by Jimmy and J.T. on
