Tirada Ni SlickMaster: M.I.A?

1/31/2015 7:02:07 PM

Is the President really missing in action?

Different Year, Same Botchin' Shit.

WWE.com; Bleacher Report

I just saw Royal Rumble last night; and what more I can say, but perhaps another blunder at hand.

But at least, for instance we saw a bit of favorable result (err, that still remains questionable).

By The Names: WWE Royal Rumble 2015

1/25/2015 11:43:15 PM

wrestlingnews.co

This post might come too late considering I already made this posting less than 11 hours before the Royal Rumble event itself goes live at the Wells Fargo Canter in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia!

Well, unless you manage yourself to stay away from your own Twitter feed and instead stay glued to your TV sets on Monday evening. That actually may sound an instant segue to a plug-in, but it’s my own prerogative and I don’t need to get paid for it anyway.

Here’s the thing though: We have seen the numbers; those incredible statistics; and those figures which dictated history of the entire royal rumble match.

Upcoming: Unfriended

1/22/2015 5:34:16 PM

One of my close friends in the office sent me via Skype a copy of this movie trailer.

I've got to be honest with you, though: I’m not a fan of horror films. I never dared myself to watch them fully whether by soloflight or with companions.

The Scene Around: 2015 PBA Philippine Cup Finals Game 7

1/22/2015 2:43:31 PM

Looks like that Wednesday evening was the wildest so far. Well, you couldn’t blame me for bragging that one out since it’s just the start of the year yet.

Especially at the local pro basketball scene where two teams went over the limit in one of the most historic finishers in the league we know as the Philippine Basketball Association.

The scene was set at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, and 22,511 attendants (including yours truly) and millions of watching spectators via TV broadcast coverages and live streaming on the internet, witnessed Game 7 unfold in their eyes.

Catfight In The Making

1/21/2015 5:58:56 PM

Tirada Ni SlickMaster: Basura, Basura, Basura

1/21/2015 5:18:20 PM

Basura, Basura, basura.

Disrespecting the Displeasure

1/19/2015 10:17:37 PM

I first used Disrespecting the Displeasure as a Filipino-language written post as my trademark rant (#TiradaNiSlickMaster) at the height of those series of religious-related outrage during Pope Francis’ visit to Manila.

I have to change that title though.

Here’s the thing: I am not writing this just to jump on and ride the bandwagon of those “opinionated” post during the Papal Visit in Manila. In fact, since time immemorial, I had been hearing issues which tackles religious intolerance.

Aftermath of a Papal Visit

1/19/2015 10:43:07 PM

Disrespecting the Religious Displeasure

1/17/2015 10:45:45 AM

Thin Line: Faith vs. Fake

1/17/2015 8:56:24 AM

Playback: Maroon 5 – Sugar (music video)

1/17/2015 11:38:55 AM

I’ve been a fan of Maroon 5 since they successfully penetrated the mainstream music scene in 2002 with some of their chart-topping hits from their album Songs About Jane then. They also had tunes which rocked my world on their other records like their 2007 It Won’t Be Soon Before Long.

Though I admit on the recent years, when Adam Levine and company were making more funkier pop tracks than the rock-ish ones, they don’t sound well for me. Maybe, I’m more in favor of their alternative rock side than what the mainstream culture offers us right now.

On the flip side though, as their listener, their music have to evolve, which is actually good for both business and art aspects. I remember the album version of Makes Me Wonder sounds better than its concert counterpart. The funky vibe jived well with the rock tune, plus the melodramatic lyrics found underneath that upbeat tune.

Moving on, I am seeing almost the same thing with Sugar, their latest single off their latest album V which by the way was released a few days ago (January 13 to be exact). It’s their third after Maps and Animals.

Tirada Ni SlickMaster: Undue or Long Overdue?

1/17/2015 7:46:23 AM

New Year, New RAW, But A New Sucker

1/11/2015 9:55:01 PM
They say the latest episode of the World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) flagship program Monday Night Raw sucks big time.

I’ll say, maybe it does suck... 2015 times!

A lot of people from the internet wrestling community (IWC) already told me about this. Some of my social media friends (whom by the way, were smarks), have the almost-exactly-the-same sentiment.

I have yet to be convinced though.

"Beast" Daw

Kunsabagay, napakadalang man natin maranasan ang lindol.

Ayos!

Yes, it’s the Philippine Wrestling Revolution’s fourth event in 2014 named Terminus.

Yay or Nay? The Shockers, Stunners, and Suckers of 2014 (Part 6)

1/6/2015 8:25:23 AM

I managed to write the first two parts of this series previously known as the Yay or Nay? The Shockers of 2014. But again, since almost every single news item (if not all) brought uop our level of consciousness, I decide to rename the entire thing as the Shoclers, Stunner and Suckers of 2014. Stun and Shock may be synonymous to each other but I really meant ‘shock’ in general and ‘stun’ on the positive limelight here.

We were stunned by the outcome of all the things which are considered positive in our eyes simply beacuse it brought nothing but good vibes and uplifted out spirits, at least, for a while.

But on the flipside, there are some controversial issues which should have not been brought to circulation in the first place. But still, we ended up wasting our time, effort to think, kinetic energy and even saliva simply because we are bored.

Anyway, here are the continuation of the other shockers, stunners and suckers of the the year that was... yes, 2014!

Sudden Disappearance | 1/2/2015 4:45:18 PM

Suddenly, they were up, up in the air, and the next time around you’ll be surprised they are nowhere to be found.

How on earth, in the advent of GPS, the Malaysian Airlines flight got lost? Only to found out weeks later, the passengers were drowned and dead somewhere in the Indian Ocean. And no one survived the accident.

Yes, same question still runs on my mind. I thought the world’s deadspot was located around the Bermuda Triangle alone? Is terrorism a possible angle on this mishap? Say, what are the developments on this one? Considering one flight of AirAsia suffered the same fate just few days ago; and another Malaysian Airlines was taken down by a rebel group nearby Ukraine and Russia.

Things seems to be going tragic as shit right now.

Yes, after years and even decades of mystery in my mind, I only found this thing from one of my Facebook friends. Yes, when he posted the track on the evening of December 31, 2014; just in time when I was writing my yearend post then.

Switching Gears | 1/2/2015 4:03:38 PM

CM Punk, or known as Philip Jack Brooks, who claimed he got his termination papers in the WWE on his wedding day with wrestler AJ Lee, signed up for a multi-fight deal with the MMA firm UFC.

The move triggered mixed reactions from both pro wrestling and the mixed martial arts aficionados.

Say, is CM Punk ready for this? I think so, considering him making decisions in his right frame of mind. Sure, wrestling may be dangerous as shit despite criticisms on their storylines, but MMA was even a tougher one; considering this: the MMA has been the venue for much intense and skillful training;and at the same time, the sport which gave the fans more kind of entertainment. Admit it, folks: the likes of UFC are where blood and pain was the name of the game.

Well, all I can say is… good luck on that endeavor.

The Rundown Slam: WWE TLC 2014

12/30/2014 8:43:16 PM
It was near Christmas, and the World Wrestling Entertainment pulled off their version of “Demolition Derby,” and it’s on the home of King James, the Hall of Fame of Rock and Roll, the place where the Q lives in – Cleveland, Ohio. Talk about the WWE’s Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Stairs, or better known as TLC (TLCS term, though, sucks).

December 30, 2014: Day of National Amnesia and the Royal Wedding Fiasco

1/4/2015 2:06:25 PM

Teka, tangina, in the first place kalian ba naging summer ang atmosphere ng Kapaskuhan sa Pilipinas?

Dahil Tapos Na Ang Holiday Break…

1/2/2015 11:06:06 AM

Congrats!

So, ano na?

This is Awesome (The Notable Matches on the WWE PPV Events of 2014 Part 2)

12/30/2014 11:39:47 AM

Let me reiterate: this is sole my opinion alone, and not a reflection of views from any wrestling affiliations I belonged with. Yes, after all, I don’t consider myself a total smark, but an avid follower.

The arrangement of the matches listed in this article were chronologically, and not on a countdown-like basis. All matches were held on their Pay Per View (PPV) events.

For every WWE pay-per-view event, there were at least one, two, or few more cards which deserved this type of chant.

Hereby are the last of my part two series regarding my take on the best matches made in the World Wrestling Entertainment for 2014.

Yay or Nay? The Shockers, Stunners, and Suckers of 2014 (Part 2)

12/30/2014 2:07:38 PM

Honestly speaking, I was in doubt for naming this post Shockers of 2014. I know: every year, news will always shock us, regardless if it runs on the same old shitty cycle or not.

But I beg to digress and I can’t help it. It’s like every year there will be happenings here in the metro, or somewhere in the country, or even around the globe that will wake our consciousness, regardless if it sounds stupid or legit; if it contains shallowness or well-excavated depth; or just because of a prominent name alone. Anyone who’s been scrutinizing all the current events and news should know there are key elements why such stories made it to the communication medium no matter how much we hate it or love it.

I tried recalling most (if not all) of the news that struck us in the year 2014 and gave my take on them as much as I can. If it differs on your point of view, then who cares anyway?

All stories enlisted on this article are arranged randomly.
