Since some people are still having signs of a hangover from the recent Binibining Pilipinas, here’s something I’d like to share with you: a 16-minute audio clip from that epic (now-defunct) program named The Disenchanted Kingdom.
Say, this one seems timely, eh?
As far as I remember, this episode aired on April 16, 2012. Yes, it’s because I was then listening on this show (and thank heavens, the reception of this station 99.5 RT was so strong over my provincial residence at San Ildefonso, Bulacan).
No wonder why the trio of King DJ Logan, Marf and Cleo Caliente was so freaking epic. They are really served as a damn, hilarious alternative to other programs in primetime radio such as Boys Night Out (Magic 89.9).
It all started at Cleo Caliente’s segment when delivered updates from then-2012 Bb. Pilipinas held the previous evening (April 15, 2012); then, the entire crew – especially the wacky-brained King DJ Logan – decided to give the event some kind of cultured humor.
Say, that clicked. At least, we’re not surprised that this was apparently one of the reasons why people ‘meyteyn’ their frequency to RT during those times. You talk about updates, some knowledgeable stuff, with a bit of relevance to our typical Filipino customs (in general), and with a combination of intelligent humor and wits.
As I conclude
this post, if you think you haven’t heard enough of them, you can check out the
entire episode at pinoyradiotivo.com!

I am not really so much into beauty pageants but the recent issue involving Toni makes me curious lol. I have watched some clips and was entertained. I can't really say though if it is appropriate or not for the occassion. Hosts are either a make it or break it. For me, it worked. I don't know. Maybe it's just me hahaha
ReplyDeleteI'm not into beauty pageants myself either and I will have to save the video on my queue for later viewing. You have a spelling error on your first paragraph :3
ReplyDeletefunny! not into pageants as well, but to each his own :)
ReplyDeleteIt really puts you in a good mood overall when you listen to a radio show and the hosts definitely has chemistry and is great to listen to. And like you said, they have awesome content. I guess my favourite would be The Morning Rush on Rx 93.1 Really just good vibes all around :)
ReplyDeleteI used to admire The Morning Rush either. Though mostly, I resort into listening to their podcast since I have a day job, and my reception in the office do suck. (no "shots fired" intended)
DeleteA little burned out by now with beauty pageants but interesting to see an issue thrown on the pageant that doesn't have much to do with the contestants.
ReplyDeleteNot into pageants, I don't even about Toni hosting this years, but this is just hilarious! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLike most of the people who gave their comments, pageant is not really my thing. The topic the dj’s opened was interesting though, as not a lot of people think that way about the beauty contest in the Philippines.
ReplyDeleteThis is funny though I'm not a big fan of beauty pageants either.
ReplyDeleteMay pera sa beauty contest.... sabi nila. :-)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I can't listen to the clip for now. T_T My pc at work doesn't have audio which I guess was removed intentionally. :( I have to check it out later at home because as seen on the comments of others, they had fun listening to it. ^^
