The Pre-take: WrestleMania 32 - Winning Over The Jeers

As the Pre-take for WrestleMania continues, pressure around building the hype for the matches as well as the hopes for higher sales at stock, so were the disarray reactions from the WWE Universe. Well, we all know the story, right?

Roman Reigns was poised to be the WWE’s next top guy, reaching the likes of Hulk Hogan and John Cena. But upon doing so, Reigns was heavily been booed by the fans since Royal Rumble 2015. And even getting a WrestleMania slot against Brock Lesnar at the main event of Mania 2015, looks like WWE salvaged themselves by inserting a ‘cash-in.’

And even if he had a successful story with Bray Wyatt, Reigns was about to be poised as the championship material, but the creative people had their over-experiment went beyond what it should be, perhaps causing negative reactions around the globe.

And frankly, the only positive development about Reigns is his meltdown at the post-championship match of WWE TLC. Clearly that is the Roman Reigns all of us would like to see. That bad-ass guy who will make everyone who block his way stumble.

That perhaps, explains why this year’s Royal Rumble was conceptualized to be a literally one-against-all tussle, only to be thwarted by a tyrannical Triple H. Well, that was kind of logical reasoning on why Roman dropped the title to Hunter. He is the King of Kings, and the only character whom legitimately affiliated to Macmahon. To the authority itself. 

But the past RAW episodes were staged in the venues where the big dog was heavily jeered. So Vince and company salvaged him from getting worst thru setting up a storyline injury which requires Reigns to recover from a damaged nose. Heck, even HHH himself did not even liked the reaction. He was supposed to be jeered when he faced Reigns, but even working on Ambrose for the RoadBlock derailed what they have in mind.

Going into the match, I’m afraid most people will not buy into their tussle. It’s like ending WrestleMania after the two main eventers. But smarks -- and people who really invested their time figuratively, literally, and intellectually -- will do otherwise.

That being said, I’d personally like how will WWE make this one very convincing. Let a double turn occur. Or maybe, let’s hope Reigns will have a totally different move set and gimmick enough to dethrone Triple H. The latter have done a lot enough to compliment the former. 

And the hype may still be lame, but there’s no way they can lose -- and have a buster of a main event.
