2016 has graced a lot of awesome happenings so far, with SUD (with Words Anonymous), Tom's Story, The Anton Molina Project, PAUL, and MilesExperience launched their respective records over the first four months of the year. Also, the likes of MilesExperience, Toni B. and Jensen and The Flips formally graced their music videos.
That being said, for the last two nights of April 2016, we will be witnessing back-to-back EP/album launches that has been making waves at the music scene so far. And here is one of them, is this soul alternative quintet.

This is Banna Harbera, one of the first bands which caught my attention during my first few months with the independent music scene (aside from Autotelic, Farewell Fair Weather, The Ransom Collective, Alasmedya, and MilesExperience). They're comprised of students from College of St. Benilde, and make no mistake about it—they're different from that famed cartoon production house Hanna Barbera as they used spoonerism to create an identity that has more funkier sound than being sketchy as it seems.
Banna Harbera is the band comprised of Yzabel Torres (vocals), Jake Masigan (guitars), Theo Blanch (keyboards), Patrick Felipe (drums), and Josh Planas (bass). Their sound has been showing resemblances of the early FFW days. I think that's a jazzy lighter note right there.
This band has made waves when they released their first record, an EP called Something New in 2014. It contained three tracks, including Aside and I Don't Even Mind.
And this coming April 29, they will be releasing a new EP titled Persistence. The upcoming record consists of three songs: Persistence, Sorry & Goodbyes, Think I Know.
Join them as they will rock the night away their own way courtesy of Docdef Productions. Farewell Fair Weather, Jensen and The Flips, Runway Hits, SUD, and Tom's Story will be sharing the stage as well. Show starts by 9:00 PM at Route 196 Bar in Katipunan Avenue, Blue Ridge, Quezon City.
Entrance is at Php200 with a free beer. RSVP to the event by clicking the poster.
