After a long wait, uprising band MilesExperience will make a milestone in their music career by launching their album later this month at B-Side.
The soulful alternative quintet has made a sudden rising over the indie music scene. Two years ago, they launched their premier single Love Supreme; but 2015 has been their fast-paced path to recognition. It was during mid-year when they filmed the music video Love Supreme and on 16 July 2015, the project directed by Jiggy Gregorio was formally introduced to public at a gig organized by Docdef Productions and 9Roots. The outing turned into blockbuster as fans flocked Route 196 in Quezon City, turning the event into one of the most-crowded gigs to date.
Two months later, the band launched their second single Silakbo, also at Route 196. The audio track -- then-the only Filipino written song by the band--became one of the hot tracks at the yearend countdown of Jam 88.3; And just this past January, its music video counterpart came into life at Mow’s Bar in Quezon City; and another MSex gig was in the books for one of the hottest (literally and figuratively) events ever held.
The music video also attained success by earning votes enough to be placed themselves at the Pinoy Myx Countdown.
After Love Supreme and Silakbo came an defiant song called Down.
That being said, these three singles will be part of the 12-track album, including a collaboration track with Coeli San Luis and Neala Medina.
The event itself will also feature bands Autotelic, Jensen and The Flips, December Avenue, Tanya Markova and BennyBunnyBand. Tickets will be available at the gate for 200 pesos, and it comes with a free drink. The package of album plus entrance is priced Php550.
