An Asylum Match?!

05/18/2016 05:56:44 PM

We all know what's gonna happens next Sunday, even if they appeared like an unconfirmed rumor: Dean Ambrose will face Chris Jericho at Extreme Rules.

And just when we though we will have two extreme rules matches at the event itself come Sunday night, we were wrong. At first I was disappointed, considering Ambrose headlining the poster of ER.

But hey, after seeing the clip from WWE Raw via YouTube, I could only utter two words: What's this? Oh sorry, make it five—what on earth is this?

An asylum match? Coined on Dean's gimmick—the Ambrose Asylum itself. A variation from the traditional steel cage match—the difference? It has a lot of weapons stored at the top of the cell. And it has another stipulation: escaping the cage doesn't guarantee you a victor in this match. Not even a count-out. It has to be done via pinfall or submission.

This should be another compelling story to tell. Heck, this should even be hellacious than Hell in a Cell itself. I imagine, though, if there will be a similar version of this come the October PPV event!

My full preview for Extreme Rules will be posted here in The SlickMaster's Files soon!
