Double Treat Thursdays

08/04/2016 11:23:20 AM

What a way to be a Filipino music fan this coming Thursday. Despite the controversy that rocked the scene earlier this week (hey, we have to move on from this, please?), there are heavyweight shits lined up for every music lover out there this coming August.

But we're not getting into the list. Let's talk about today. We have two music video launches set for tonight; and it's on your top favorite music hangouts around the Metro.

First off, the synth pop band Paranoid City will be formally addressing their synth-izens once again as they are launching the music video for their latest single Just Like The Movies. They released its teaser almost a month ago in their Facebook page, bringing much excitement for the track on their upcoming second album.

The music video was directed by Gio Franco Alpuente and made possible by Uno Dos Productions. Rabbit Hole Productions, and the Asia Pacific Film Institute. Starring Alfonso Gabriel Ferrer, Francheska Margaret Ferrer, Ryan Murillo, Migs Narra, and Rey Carmelo.

Aside from the soon-to-be-published clip, expect a night of awesomeness as Read Between The Lions, Never The Strangers, MilesExperience and Gracenote will be performing.

It's all happening later at 9PM at SaGuijo in Makati City. This event is made possible by Uno Dos Productions and Rabbit Hole Productions. Php200 gets you in with 1 free drink.

While up there at the North, pop rock band Autotelic will be launching their first single of their upcoming album Papunta, Pabalik called Gising.

The music video directed by Paolo Ruiz, the man behind some of the Urbandub's music videos, tackles the song's story in balance with the performance set featuring some of their friends in the music industry.

Lions and Acrobats, TheSunManager, Tom's Story, and Sirens will also be performing tonight 9PM at Route 196 in Quezon City. Entrance is at Php250.

The event is made possible by MCA Music, Inc., Nemesis Music Group, Top Hat Studio, Manila Concerts Scene, and Jack Daniels.

So talk about the very alive scenery we have right now. I'll tell you one thing: these two bands are for real. So come on over to either one of the events and you will see music unfolding right before the mainstream outlets pick them up.
