PlayBack: Truefaith - Paano Ka Magiging Akin?

09/03/2016 11:10:06 PM

Seems after more than two decades, Truefaith proves they are still one of the best alternative rock bands in the music scene. Yes, even if there are lot of youthful groups that are dominating the crop.

The last Saturday of August proved to be a heck of a night for the music scene, and one of the reasons is the music video launch of their 2015 single called Paano ka Magiging Akin?

The clip directed by Genghis Jimenez ran for more than six minutes and it was a multi-sided, mind-twisting production. On superficial aspect, it looked like an pre-dating game that seemingly compliment with the nature of the song – a slow romantic ballad.

But as things get deeper, it dwells with horror; the dangers of dating amidst the challenging vibe and nature. Plus the concept about vegan and veganism,; perhaps sounding new to the present culture, but it dwells about animal welfare, especially of the cows (so that speaks why dairy products were involved in the story).

I commend Jimenez and his crew for the execution. The celebrities featured were well-exposed. It looked classical with subliminal ideas underneath. I must say Meds did a great job of presenting the idea.

As some fans may have perceived it a bit otherwise, it doesn't have for one to be an avid fan to understand the meaning behind the show itself. Reading helps; something that on a personal level, made me help in making this music video review. It all lived to their expectations.

So that being said, Truefaith's latest clip is one of the best mixed ideas/subliminal music videos I have ever seen.
