PlayBack: Autotelic - Papunta Pabalik (Album)
From making J-rock inspired pop music
that turned every gig into an instant mosh pit session, Autotelic
has evolved from being a heavyweight indie band to a pop-rock “iyak
sayaw” musicians when they signed with the MCA Music, And just
months later, things were moving to the fast lane as this six-piece
squad just released their debut album under the major label – and
it's called “Papunta Pabalik.”

Basically, I shouldn't been doing PPV
predictions since I end up having pre-takes for the RAW-exclusive
events instead of both (largely, thanks to the cable channel since
they have only those stuffs available).
But anyway, since one of my smarky
friends swore allegiance to satisfy my cravings for professional
wrestling... okay, might as well do this shit.
Hell is coming once again, and this
time it was all red and exclusive as WWE's Monday Night RAW will be
staging three matches inside the pay-per-view event we all liked to
call Hell in a Cell.

The Scene Around: Monster Indie Ground 2
Monster RX 93.1 is giving the country's
music scene a much even stronger exposure courtesy of Indie Ground, a
music program that gives several bands from the indies a chance to be
heard in the metro-wide radio.
And that being said, Monster Indie
Ground staged three bar tours during their anniversary month (August
2016). Yours truly managed to storm by Black Kings Bar at West
Triangle in Quezon City for the second leg of the event.

Sa totoo lang, as much as sinusuportahan ko ang ating pangulo, hindi ako fan ng babaeng ito. Kung bakit? Obvious naman eh. Baka awayin niyo lang ako sa kung anu-anong dahilan na masasambit rito. Ayos nga sana kung usapan o debate lang eh. Kaso malala na ang pagka-adik ng marami sa mga Pinoy sa social media. Feeling nila hawak na nila sa leeg ang ibang tao – lalo na yung mga sumasalungat sa kanilang opinyon.

Well, as we we saying in my previous
blog post, we thought the hype invested in this feud will be a smooth
road.
That was our prejudgment until someone
screwed up; and certainly it wasn't any of Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, or
Paul Heyman's fault. But not even the crowd inside Target Center,
either.

The Walking Dead Na! Eh Ano Ngayon!?

Lunes na naman. At para sa mga adik sa
mga samu't sariling TV series mula sa Amerika, ito ang palabas na
tinatangkilik nila; ang pinakapatok: The Walking Dead.
Isang horror drama na palabas na
hinango mula sa komiks ni Robert Kirkman, na siya ring may gawa ng
Outcast. Kasama ni Kirkman sa paggawa nito sila Tony Moore at Charlie
Adlard. Si Frank Darabont naman ang nag-develop nito sa telebisyon.
Sa sobrang hit nito, naging isa na siya
sa mga pinakatanyag na pangalan sa popular na kultura mula tauhan
hanggang lugar. At maliban kasi sa drama, likas rin kasi na mahilig
ang marami sa atin sa mga horror na palabas. Hindi man yung mga gaya
ng multo o maligno pero at least yung hinahabol ka ng zombie.

The Scene Around: Health Junkie X Not Your Ordinary Mum's Feature Writing Workshop
It was barely a year ago when I
traveled to Alabang, Muntinlupa City for a writing workshop. Well,
much to my surprise. One of the event organizers invited me to go
there despite having some personal shenanigans earlier that day.
That was also my first time to travel
to the southern part of the metro alone, as bloggers Health Junkie
and Not Your Ordinary Mum teamed up to organize a workshop intended
for feature writing, and it's all held inside the Hog's Breath Cafe
in Festival Supermall, Alabang.

The Rundown Slam: WWE No Mercy
It's kinda strange to see the order of
how things took place at Sacramento, California, during the staging
of the WWE's second Smackdown Live-exclusive pay-per-view event
called WWE No Mercy. They kicked off with a main event and end the
night with a supposedly-main event show but seemingly not enough to
be tagged as one.

And barely months later, Josh Villena and co., has been making waves in such a shorter-than-expected span of time. They released a new single Gising in the major platforms in July; weeks later, their music video has been launched and gained massive reception from the audience by making it to the Myx Daily Hit Chart (Pinoy Edition) and amassing the top spot at All Good Radio of Jam 88.3 later on.
And this past Saturday, 1 October 2016, Autotelic launched their album titled “Papunta Pabalik,” turning themselves from the what has been a indie and dance pop rock band into something they now called as “Iyak Sayaw.”

Almost two years ago, when I first hear them live in a gig at Route 196, I already had made a prophecy in mind. This band will be the next big thing in the pop music scene soon. (At least, if not right now.)
And with a music market and an anniversary gig happening around Makati City, these dudes will ne the standout for the evening. And why not? It's true enough.
It was a night to remember last Saturday at B-Side at The Collective as MCA Music presents the Autotelic's Papunta Pabalik album launch.

After being postponed twice in over the span of almost two months, the biggest gathering of OPM artists finally took place – though in a different venue, and it all happened on a (thank goodness) calmed weather of that Saturday afternoon.
OPM High Sagana took place last Saturday, 11 September 2016, at the Estancia mall in Capitol Commons, Pasig City.
