The Scene Around: ESGS 2016 Day 2

11/09/2016 11:21:19 AM

Last weekend of October was one of the most busiest weekends I have ever had since being a blogger. Imagine being a part of one of the major media partners during the 2016 edition of one of the biggest gaming convention in Southeast Asia, a three-day event called E-Sports and Gaming Summit held 28-30 October 2016 at the SMX Convention Center in the Mall of Asia complex, Pasay City.

Hit by the noontime and it's game time for me. Well, reppin' for Reimaru Files during the stretch. Over the Saturday witnessed some of the biggest gigs like the tournaments for Brawlfest, ESL Arena, and even the NBA 2k17 and Call of Duty at the PlayStation booth. Aside from that there are also notable happenings at the main stage such as the interview with Koji Igarashi, the second edition of Sakitan Nights, and cameos by Kjwan and Alodia Gosiengfiao.

The venue was quite big enough for the crowd. There are almost no dead spots as people flocked every possible space. Mind you: the ESL arena and Brawlfest was packed as people just witnessed all the excitement of wars happening there.

I think Kjwan's mini-concert – sponsored by Asus – took quite a long delay due to the technical difficulties. But the show goes on anyway. It just didn't turned out to be a typical wild set (something you guys might have seen in their bar gigs or concerts), but it still worth the watch 'cause simply they're Kjwan, one of the notable names during the 2000s OPM band explosion era. Need to explain more?

And just when you thought Saturday might be the busiest day, Sunday was just another one to remember when you get there.
