It was a lackluster ending in 2002. And I'm afraid that no matter how Paul Heyman may be totally-excellent in delivering his goods to promote the match, it might still end up a bummer.
Just when we thought that Goldberg will be on a one-on-one fight with The Beast Incarnate, we were wrong. An instant changed happen in WWE Fastlane – Goldberg defeated Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship. And it was done in seemingly-unconvincing fashion that has something to do with ex-champ's rapport with former friend Chris Jericho.
However, will this match end up in an instant? We hope NOT. I get it: Since his return on Survivor Series, Goldberg lasted only for a brief while in the squared circle (heck, not even more than four minutes, in fact!). That means, the longer the match, it will be an advantage for Brock Lesnar to win it all.
However, are we about to see the part-timer winning his first universal title and take it away just like run as WWE World Heavyweight Champion? I hope not.
Initially, I picked Lesnar to do this. And frankly, it is still more close to reality.
However, I'd rather see them being handed over to the ones who will be defending them almost each and every single available time – be it on a RAW episode or their exclusive-PPV gig.
