(They just rocked Visayas last month, but it was all hard work that paid off after a series of events in over a quarter-of-the-year-stretch.)
Nanay Mo had a fund-rasier gig for their trip to the Queen City (sorry, Charlotte!) of the South, Cebu City held December 8 at Mow's Bar in Matalino Street, Quezon City.
Imelda kicked off the evening, along with BennyBunnyBand, Halik Ni Gringo, Nanay Mo, Shadow Moses and The Oemons following suit; and boy, it was another night where I explored the things I might be really missing out (well, majority of the people knew these bands – except for me yet).
With exception to the kuneho rock trio, though. Almost everyone blew me – and the roof – off. Well, for one; Shaodw Moses proved why they are the geeks (oh sorry, nerds) of the hiphop scene right now. The Oemons was upbeat enough to satisfy a taitillating appetite; truly living enough to their Sex, Kebab and Rock and Roll album title.
Halik Ni Gringo was so loud that their energy was quite infectious as BennyBunnyBand. Nanay Mo and Imelda is my new alternative for alternative (hey, did I really make sense there? LOL.).
That's probably the last hurrah to a year's edition of discoveries via gigs. Hopefully I could catch them again by next year as the soonest.
