It was start of 2017, and we ask two questions: Where in the world is Johnyy Panic?; And still, for me: Who the Helen of Troy is this anonymous online diva anyway?
And the mystery continues to remain as one as we ended up seeing this question being just another gig title as Revolver Productions staged their first gig of 2017 in an improbably fashion – that is to set a gig at 19 East in Sucat, Muntinlupa City.
It was somewhat a rocking start that has made at least a hundred people flocked the venue to its full-house (first floor) status as a combo bunch of average and heavy-named performers (SPLIT ENDS, Run Dorothy, Reese Lansangan, Pedicab, Rob and The Hitmen, December Avenue and SUD) provided live music in the third Saturday of the year.
And with the latter two bands – both massive crowd-drawers – slated at the late portion of the evening has somewhat kept the event's flow at pace. Probably, not bad considering they started with a project band and hit the bigwigs at near midnight.
