It was the near-tailend of a long weekend, and while we have another extra-period break to savor during that month of August, a lot of toy collectors and swappers flocked the halls of SMX Convention Center in SM Aura Premier Mall in Taguig City for the first ever National Meet Meet event For Collectors, By Collectors.
That sounded really late for me to cover the event but it didn't really matter. The atmosphere buding Sunday afternoon made it appear like we're not on the verge of closing yet.
Biddings are still hitting the main stage in the afternoon, while some performances have sizzled what has been a chilly Sunday afternoon. There's also cosplay competition for kids and adults, while Avalon Beyond capped the evening with their tunes.
Apart from the prizes from JACK TV, the stunning display from Regine Tolentino's boutique, Ginebra San Miguel has been giving away free taste of their GSM Blue Mojito. There's also a big donation space intended for anyone who want to spread the love for the children affected by the ongoing conflict in Marawi City.
The 1st National Swap Meet: For Collectors, By Collectors had its maiden staging and somewhat delivered really good. But for sure, things will be better the next time around. Give the ArtisteSpace the needed leeway soon.
