The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 34 (Part 1)

After four years, the show of shows is back at the Big Easy and it looked like it didn't really fit well to us (seriously, can other cities be given a chance to host this huge wrestling event for goddamn sakes?).

But what else can we do? New Orleans is about to celebrate four centuries of existence, and they actually gained the right to stage the World Wrestling Entertainment's annual extravaganza since 2016. Besides, NOLA has become a witness to a grandeur of entertaining moments in 2014 such as the end of the streak – that sent massive shock waves all over the world – plus Daniel Bryan's 'overcoming the odds' story (imagine wrestling two matches from literally start to finish). The show was also the first WrestleMania to air on the WWE Network.

Anyway, let's just get down to business, shall we? WrestleMania 34 is poised to have the longest WrestleMania ever (err, so far) with over five hours in the main program – over seven in total if you include the kickoff show. And it comprised of a whopping 13 matches – including two battle royals, all of the 9 WWE championship matches, and a couple more of tag team contests. Oh my goodness, this can be really more dragging than last year.

For the second straight year, the cruiserweight championship... is on the preshow? Man, this seems so terrible in a show with a stacked card.  With Cedrick Alexander and Mustafa Ali squaring off as the final two in the bracket-laden tournament, we can only hope to have this steal the hour and hope more people will be inside.

It's a shame if they will clash in an almost-empty arena setup. Anyway, it's time to have Ali win the title.

I can't really pick anyone to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, except if the writers decide to break the streak of Curt Hawkins. Other than him? Maybe Dolph Ziggler will finally have his WrestleMania moment here!

As for the first ever Women's Battle Royal match, there's a reason why Becky Lynch has become the pioneer winner in near-majority of the matches that symbolizes the women's revolution. But other than the Irish Lass Kicker, this could be Dana Brooke's game.
