Dubbed as MWF 2: Maki-Wrestling, 'Wag Matakot, the wrestling program will feature the patriotic Mr. Lucha and the freedom-loving Robin Sane for the second successive time the main event – with this contest being announced as the inaugural match for the tournament to become the first-ever MWF Champion. The tourney is expected to last until its finale by December, with the winner set to being distinguished as the first-ever winner of the country's most coveted prize in sports entertainment.

MWF and its distinct AksyoNovela has made a mark during its first showing called Kasaysayan in April as the promotion delivered relatable and relevant stories through colorful, larger-than-life and unique Filipino characters; and they are continuing to do so as part of their new branding of fun, family-friendly, and more Pinoy kind of professional wrestling. The characters include the overly enthusiastic inspirational life coach Gus Queens, the Pinoy fighter Rex Lawin, action star Gigz Stryker, and the street bully Fabio Makisig, among others.

In addition to its superb in-ring showcase, MWF creates immensely entertaining moments such as “Sagot Kita! Anytime Anywhere,” an audio-video presentation that has become one of Kasaysayan's top spectacles featuring Gigz Stryker and the screen-to-stage cameo by Japanese star Maria Ozawa, with the help of a core team of professional stage, TV, and film artist led by Ohm David, Meliton Roxas, Teresa Barrozo, Juan Carlo Tarobal, and William Elvin Manzano.

“We want to make this a new alternative theatrical spectacle,” said MWF onstage personality and actor Tarek El Tayech. “We want to be able to tell stories better and more vividly than everyone else, not just here in the Philippines or the entire Southeast Asian and Asian region, but all over the globe.”

Aside from the tournament match, MWF announced four other matches to be slated during the event. Aldrin Richards and Hanzhello Shilva will take on a bizarre tandem of Ninja Ryujin and Morgan Vaughn. The disciples of Mr. Lucha (Kyle Sison and Ashura) will be in action against each other in a pillow fight. UP Diliman's own RG will face Queens. And lastly, Fabio Makisig and Gigz Stryker will face Jomar Liwanag and The Mistery Lady in the second tag team match for MWF 2.

Also up for Maki-Wrestling, 'Wag Matakot is the second installement of “Sagot Kita” and A Celebration of Greatness featuring 'Danger' Rex Lawin sponsored by Life Coach Gus Queens.

In the related news, MWF has also teamed up with Tikcet2Me, an event ticketing app which aims to make ticket-buying transactions more convenient, especially for Pinoy wrestling fans. Through this app, wrestling aficionados and patrons can now buy their tickets online (www.ticket2me.net) and pay through a variety of outlets such as Paypal, local banks, and 7-11 stores nationwide.

MWF 2: Maki-Wrestling, 'Wag Matakot will be happening this Sunday, 27 May 2018, at the UP Bahay ng Alumni in Quezon City. Gates will be open at 5:00 PM, while the show will start at 6:00 PM. Ticket prices are PhP 299 at the door. For more information, visit their event page on Facebook.
