Guijo St., appears to be the final single from Apartel's Inner Play LP. It featured Enzo Hermosa of CHEATS and Jermaine Choa Peck of The Ransom Collective and witnessed the entire collective on two different time frames.
It turns out to be a reunion of a fallen love affair – for over 25 years. One was lost while the other got recovered. And while reunited, it is clear on who's who.
Hell, the 80s vibe still worked in a modern-day framing. The flashback has been adequate enough to tell the backstory in the middle-portions of the music video.
Guijo St. was Apartel's melodramatic recorded track of them all that has given a somewhat different side of Apartel's initial sound which may be perceived as the mellow-groovy kind of soul for some. The song tells you that time heals for some, while it didn't work for others – an unfortunate fact. And... yup, not all love stories will bear good endings, no matter how much you dream of such.
