Upcoming: PWR Vendetta 2018

11/22/2018 11:32:21 PM

Christmas wrestling is set to hit early as Philippine Wrestling Revolution will cap off their year of activities just five weeks before 2018 ends with their upcoming event called PWR VENDETTA.

While last year we have seen the first-ever Ubusan Ng Lahi match, this time around PWR Vendetta will feature another blockbuster Sunday afternoon of wrestling featuring a series of multi-man matches for the promotion's top two championships, massive tag team, and international singles matches, and a whole lot more.

Former and current partners will square off against each other for the right to hold PWR Championship and be called the Kampeon Ng Pilipinas. Ralph Imabayashi, the longest-reigning PWR Champion as of today, has set a challenge to three other men – Mike Madrigal, Vlad Sinnsyk, and Rederick Mahaba.

After a disqualification outcome at the main event of Shake, Rassle & Roll, “The Walking Death” Mike Madrigal isn't done on his quest for PWR's top prize. However, so was his former tag team partner Sinnsyk. But that's not all, Imabayashi also put his partner on this four-way dance. Will the country's purest wrestler prevail come Sunday? Or will anyone else from his challengers will end the year sitting at the top of the summit?

Also, MAHABANG USAPAN will wage its long-awaited return at the event, and the duo known as MTNH is looking to address the RevoNation prior to their biggest PWR Championship match later in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, taking place at PWR Vendetta is the first every 6-way survival match for the PHX Championship. In this contest, two competitors will start off in the ring with the remaining four being hand-cuffed to each of the ring posts outside. For every three minutes, one challenger will be un-cuffed and be joining them into the action, and the procedure will go on until all of the competitors has been released from their posts. The only way to eliminate an opponent is via pinfall or submission and the last man to survive elimination will walk out as the Philippine Excellence Champion.

Although deriving its resemblances to WWE's rules for the Elimination Chamber match, it is interesting to note how PWR has been getting more creative and innovative in at least putting another item on its one-of-a-kind matches for the year.

In this six-pack dance, reigning PHX Champion Jake De Leon will defend the title against Ken Warren, Chris Panzer, John Sebastian, Crystal, and SPW's Andruew Tang. It was during Shake, Rassle & Roll when the triple threat match went into an abrupt, no-contest ending when the Queen of Philippine Wrestling stormed into the ring and unleashed a vicious attack on both the champion De Leon and challengers Panzer and Warren. This prompted the Wrestling Lord and Savior to control the situation but to no avail. And a sudden video announcement by SPW's Andruew Tang just put another additional twist to the currently hot-rod title feud.

Will Mr. Philippine Wrestling stand anew on his biggest challenge yet as a PHX title-holder ? Or will the Social Media Sinister get his third reign and thus, putting his one-on-one rematch clause to shelve should it happen? Will either the Motor City Angel, or the remaining three competitors managed to bag home the white-hot phoenix-designed belt and earn the distinction to be called Philippine Excellence Champion?

Another rivalry is getting hotter as McKata will take on Brad Cruz. A six-man tag team match will also take place between The End Game and the team of Bolt, Joey Bax, and Revoranger.

A special tag team match called E DI SA PUSO MO Street Fight is set this Sunday between The YOLO Twins and The KakaiBros. After a nerve-wracking twisted series of events, Kh3ndrick finally found Mh4rckie who almost joined the duo of Logan and Yohan Ollores and sent everyone watching Shake, Rassle & Roll thrilled in what's next for this budding rivalry.

The PWR Tag Team Championship will be defended by The Naughty Boys (Trian Dela Torre and Evan Carleux) against MSG (Sandata and Main Maxx). Can Mr. Sy's talents manage to bring home the tag golds after unloading a barrage of attacks during PWR's last outing and tirades on social media afterwards? Or will the power of friendship prevail anew despite losing GrabCamus to injury, which on the other hand prompted Kapitan Tutan to face Mainstream Mahaba's personal assistant, Arite 2.0, in his first-ever singles contest?

Will Dax Xaviera be finally getting to get AOW-rora at the hands of the Warlord? Find out as Alexander Belmonte III will be taking on this opponent and put his All Out War Championship on the line.

Two international match-ups will be taking place at PWR as PCW's Australian star Aysha will square off with Martivo, who's been on the roll against a couple of PWR”s own international-calibrated wrestlers in the past. Also, the hot-rod Lightbringer QUARTO will take on Singapore's own Dr. Gore.

Indeed, this stacked card is a wonderful slam-and-bang treat for the season of cheers
