The Scene Around: BEKO Eat Like A Pro: The Cook-Off Cycle 2

Two months from the success of the premier installment, Beko Philippines staged its second cycle of the successful Eat Like A Pro: The Cook-Off this past November at Robinsons Metro East in Pasig City.

Just like its predecessor held last 31 August at SM Southmall, this cook-off contest aims to showcase how parents and children can work together in preparing delicious, budget-friendly, and healthy meals for the family; in support of the brand's Eat Like A Pro advocacy which seeks awareness about the rapidly growing rates of childhood malnutrition due to unhealthy habits.

This time, though, Beko moved from being a single-day affair into a three-day competition wherein eight pairs of mothers and children vie for victory and the prize.

“We are excited to hold the Eat Like A Pro: Cook-Off for the second time. We hope that parents and their children can show us their cooking skills as they prepare healthy dishes,” said Dyeun Zapanta, Beko Philippines assistant general manager.

Living to their moniker of being the Official partner of Everyday, Beko successfully held the first leg of this parent-child cooking contest wherein the winner Michelle Huertas and her child took home a Beko kitchen showcase plus a cash prize worth PhP 10,000.

And just the past 17-19 November 2018, after a series of battles from Friday to Sunday afternoons, it was the team of Cheri and CJ Dacanay who emerged victoriously and took home the prizes of Beko Appliance Showcase plus PhP 10,000 at hand.

“We were parents to know that it is possible to make their children eat healthy without compromising the taste of the meals they serve. The Eat Like A Pro: Cook-Off is the only one of the things we are doing to promote healthy eating, especially among kids,” added Zapanta.
