Sixteen matches for WrestleMania 35. Yes. 16. FREAKIN'. MATCHES. Yes, as if 14 weren't enough for a 7-hour wrestling sports entertainment show, right?
And they are back in a similar location – the one they held in 2013. It's strange because its development counterpart was named NXT TakeOver New York and not Brooklyn V. Same fate as Orlando and New Orleans on the recent years.
Is it worthy to put my predictions here? Probably yes and probably no. But anyway, since I have been writing this shit as of now, let's do this pre-take.
WrestleMania 35 features the first-ever main event match for a women's championship match. And it sucks because it is a triple threat instead of a standard classic match that was eventually made a series of twists to totally please everyone.
And since the main event has The Rowdy, The Man, and The Queen all inside the squared circle... it's obviously a step-back for The Big Dog who main event the past four 'Manias. Hey, your writes did a terrible job writing your character and booking your matches, pal. This is the time of the year where miracles and underdogs co-exist.
It's hard to follow the cruiserweights since I don't have a WWE Network account yet and the last time I saw a match was during the Royal Rumble wherein Buddy Murphy retained in a classic Fatal-4-Way match and have been relying on highlight videos on YouTube ever since. But it sucks that because of this stacked card, the cruiserweight championship match has been relegated to the kickoff show for the third straight year.
Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese. Two former friends who used to be training buddies during their time. While the champ emerged from the Down Under and stood among everyone in the competition, the challenger seemed to have its renewed focus and competitiveness of his own (hell, great body, too!). Looks like Nese has my pick for this.
Naomi was the last woman standing on the women's battle royale last year; and with the likes of the Riott Squad, Asuka, Carmella, Lana, Zelina Vega joining the party for 2019? Oh damn, this is going to be hard to nitpick. A Lana win might have out the stale gimmick to have its second win (but it doesn't guarantee to sustain the first). There's also a part of me that Zelina Vega might win this and that's a preshow-stealer. An Asuka win might at least put a W in her Mania resume, but she already won a Royal Rumble in the past – so it's a NO. Anyway, let's move on.
The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal have at least ignited the careers of superstars in the past for a moment or so. We have seen Cesaro made his run as a heel character (though it failed later on); Baron Corbin taking a good start in WWE; Mojo Rawley... uhh; and Borken Matt Hardy eventually teaming up with nemesis Bray Wyatt and staged a tag team championship run. Who's next? I'll probably pick of either Andrade, Ali, or EC3 on this. Unless they are serious in giving Titus O'Neil a serious push, as well as No Way Jose and Tyler Breeze. Quite doubtful for Heath Slater even if he got kids.
Oh, wait, for sure those two SNL hosts will gonna get those hands of Braun Strowman.
