Oppo launches the artistic Reno phone series

07/05/2019 12:32:51 AM

OPPO Philippines launched its newest line of smartphones in such an artistic fashion earlier last month.

In a special gathering of creative leaders, trendsetters, and tastemakers last 19 June 2019 at One Canvas Events Place in Makati City, the smartphone brand formally unveiled its newest flagship line of smartphone, which comprises of the OPPO Reno and the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom.

With the unveiling of the newest flagship phones come also the launching of OPPO's newest group of brand ambassadors called the RENO Collective. They were curated to shed light on what the Reno series embodies and values: creative freedom and artistic expression, taking shape in all forms and aesthetics. This group is headlined by contemporary artist Dex Fernandez, film director Treb Monteras, photographer Magic Liwanag, fashion-forward sibling duo Daryl Chang and André Chang, and local pop-rock band IV of Spades.

Since photography is where most mobile brands have been thriving the most, OPPO has made their newest addition bound to defy limits. The Reno comes with a 48MP plus an additional 5MP PDAF; while the Reno 10x Zoom takes it a step further with OPPO’s first full-focal-length triple camera system featuring 48MP(IMX586), 8MP(wide angle), and 13MP(telephoto). In addition, this new top-tier smartphone features the much-talked-about 10x hybrid zoom and 60x digital zoom – the first of its kind in the smartphone industry, allowing users to bridge any gap that limits their creativity.

But differences aside, both units sport the brand's iconic Ultra Night Mode 2.0, Color Mapping, 4K video, and Dolby Atmos speakers. Both also boast the notchless design innovation that enables a new pivot rising camera, and larger AMOLED screens (6.6-inches for Reno 10x Zoom and 6.4-inches on the Reno) that promise a full panoramic and immersive view that makes the most of their screens.

However, another thing Reno 10x Zoom apart – sans photography – is the Audio 3D and Audio Zoom features that let users capture rich and true-to-life audio output.

With larger AMOLED screens that completely do away with the notch, this series allows for a full panoramic and immersive view that makes the most of their screens - 6.6-inches and 6.4-inches on the Reno 10x Zoom and the Reno respectively.

OPPO's Reno series is a breakthrough in smartphone technology, indeed an innovation that allows OPPO to assert itself as a leader in the tech industry. These new smartphone offerings are powered to aid and inspire the creative soul in you – with Snapdragon 855 (Reno 10x Zoom) and Snapdragon 710 (Reno) chipsets.

OPPO Reno has been available in the market since 21  June for a suggested retail price of PhP26,990, with pre-orders taking place last 15-20 June.  While the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom has been available for the SRP of PhP45990 since 1 July, with pre-orders taking place this past 21-30 June.
