As cliché as it sounds for some people, “age is just a number.” But moreover, There is no time limit to dreaming. It is never too late to explore new opportunities or chase new dreams.
That is the message that fastfood chain McDonald’s reminds everyone in its latest online video featuring music icon Mr. Jose Mari Chan and McDonald’s Philippines Chairman and Founder Dr. George T. Yang.
The online video features the duo's version of “Can We Stop and Talk Awhile,” one of Jose Mari Chan's phenomenal hits in the 1970s. The film also two men exchanging roles for a day. Each one gets a glimpse into the day in the life of the other, as we see the legendary Ilonggo musician experiencing the fulfillment behind running McDonald’s and bringing smiles to his customers’ and employees’ faces.
Featuring on the other side of the video is Dr. George T. Yang. A classical musician himself, Dr. Yang gets to warm up his vocal chords as he spends the day rehearsing for a concert. In the end, they find themselves back in the comforts of a warm McDonald’s meal shared with a friend, and in the reality that they both were able to live out their dreams in their own way.
This online video premiered last 8 September 2019 and served as a tribute to grandparents around the world. Watch and be inspired by the story of hard work and friendship of Jose Mari Chan and Dr. George T. Yang.
