OPPO launched one of its newest line of smartphones last September.
“We named this fresh new lineup the OPPO A Series 2020, in celebration of the beginning of the new decade, while also commemorating the success of the A series over the past ten years,” says Raymond Xia., OPPO Philippines Marketing Director. “This new name also reflects our vision for the years to come. It highlights the brand’s latest technologies, stunning design, superb photography, powerful performance, and overall promise of catering to the voice of the younger generation.”
The new A Series, consists of OPPO A5 2020 and A9 2020, two handsets that cater to the entry and mid-level “Always G” smartphone users.
OPPO's latest phone series is bannered by the A9 2020 which promises to bring a lot of photography options for users.
The phone is equipped with a multipurpose Quad Camera setup, including a 48MP Main Camera + 8MP Ultra-Wide Lens + 2MP Mono Lens + 2MP Portrait Lens, plus an upgraded Ultra Night Mode 2.0 and a 16MP selfie camera that banks on AI Beautification technology.
The phone also has the brand's latest stabilization technology that fits well with the growing demand for high-quality action videos, with a built-in gyroscope on the two handsets allowing for more stable shooting.
OPPO A Series 2020 can make a loud quality noise, thanks to its Dolby Atmos technology-powered dual stereo speakers. It has a massive 5000mAh battery that can work all day long, as well as the capability of supporting 19 hours of continuous usage and reverse charging. In addition, the phones promise to deliver an ultra-powerful performance, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 platform, with an 8-core 64-bit processor, 8GB of RAM, and Game Boost 2.0.
That's not all, however, as this smartphone line is also equipped with a more compact Waterdrop screen, with a 31.4% decrease in the overall area compared to the previous generation. A 6.5” full screen has an 89% screen-to-body ratio, which also uses toughened Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3+ that is twice as hard, versus that of the third generation, and offers better resistance to scratches
OPPO's recent launching event also featured the formal introduction of actress Alex Gonzaga as its brand ambassador.

The OPPO A series phones are now available at the market. They are equipped with 3D gradient design and comes in two colors: Marine Green and Space Purple.
