Once known as part of the most beloved brands, motorola is back at the Philippine shores once again with its two new smartphone offerings — the Motorola Razr 5G and moto g 5G plus.

Both devices come with many firsts as well as classic features that long-time Motorola fans know and love, including the iconic clamshell design of the early 2000s, now powered by the blazing-fast connection of 5G.

“Lenovo and Motorola both recognize the need to constantly innovate in this industry. The iconic clamshell design of the original Razr was way ahead of its time and made Motorola not only one of the biggest tech brands globally but also a pop culture icon,” said Michael Ngan, Lenovo Philippines President, and General Manager. “With our vision, Smarter Technology for All, we aim at delivering smarter devices through innovative designs that perfectly meet consumer needs. Combining Motorola's rich history with Lenovo’s innovation, we can create a unique smartphone experience that features only the latest technology that matters the most to our customers.”

Motorola’s iconic flip phone is making a return, and it's tailor-fit with today's technology. The Motorola Razr 5G boasts is a new hinge that leaves no space in between when folded closed, making the phone as slim and compact as possible and more protected against dust and debris. That's not all, because the hinge is also built to last – like let's say about 200,000 flips which is just the baseline of the phone’s rigorous non-stop flip test, assuming the user flips the phone 100 times a day every day in a span fo five years.

And while folded, users can take advantage of the phone's 5G’s external 2.7-inch Quick View display that can now do more than just tell time and notify of incoming calls or messages. Thanks to the Android 10 OS, Motorola Razr 5G lets everyone swipe up to access the home screen, right to use the camera, or left to call contacts and run apps. Off the bat, users can utilize eight apps pre-selected within the Quick View display, but Lenovo and Motorola are also giving the freedom to customize and choose which app to quickly access without opening the phone. These new interactions help users make decisions more efficiently and respond faster, as they’ll spend less time scrolling and more time getting stuff done.

Meanwhile, users would be able to see the best beyond the Razr 5G's 6.2-inch Flex View display – mainly consists of five layers designed to fold in concert with the new hinge system and includes a custom protective hard coat with a material that creates a barrier to protect against spills, splashes, rain, and more. The new display has a tapered chin, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and is made up of polished 3D glass with a 7000 series aluminum frame that gives a distinguished, eye-catching look in Polished Graphite.

Users would be able to see films and videos come to life and in ultra-wide fashion, thanks to its CinemaVision technology which brings in 21:9 resolution quality. On top of that, the phone lets everyone see, appreciate, and create crystal-clear photos with the Razr 5G’s 48MP camera with Quad Pixel technology that captures sharp, vibrant photos, even in low-light conditions. Flipping the Razr 5G closed also leads to new photo opportunities through its many camera modes.

To cap it off, the Razr 5G comes with four antennas that allow a 5G connection that can download content in just a few seconds. Combined with Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon™ 765 processor, the Razr 5G provides powerful performance and incredible efficiency when it comes to browsing, streaming, or shopping online.

Also, leading the banner in the relaunching of Motorola in the country is their mid-tier moto 5G plus.  At only PHP 16,990, the device is the most affordable 5G-enabled smartphone in the Philippines, in line with Lenovo’s mission of providing smarter technology for all and delivering devices that provide access to better opportunities, greater connectivity, and the ability to overcome limitations.

Inside the moto 5G plus 6.7-inch display boasts the CinemaVision that lets it show movies in full 21:9 cinematic beauty – that's aside from having a 90Hz screen refresh rate and an HDR10 feature that reduces screen tearing and displays motion smoother than ever while also delivering sharp contrast and vibrant colors.

Moto 5G plus equips six cameras – embodies through an innovative set-up – which promises content creators a surefire treat.  At the front, there’s an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 16MP Quad Pixel camera that’s perfect for selfies taken during the day or night. Its sensor captures the smallest details and can even deliver four times better light sensitivity than other cameras. Meanwhile, the back features four cameras led by the 48MP Quad Pixel camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP camera with a macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor camera.

Through these cameras, users can snap to their hearts’ content on any occasion, thanks to the many shooting modes presented, such as Long Exposure, Spot Color, Auto Smile Capture, and AI Shot Optimization that uses Artificial Intelligence to automatically select the right settings to help capture the perfect memory.

Aside from that, this phone has the Snapdragon 765 processor, making it one of the few mid-tier phones to possess one.

Both the Motorola Razr 5G and moto g 5G plus will be available in the Philippines beginning on December 2020 in all major electronics stores and authorized Lenovo resellers. The Motorola Razr 5G can be availed for PHP 72,990, while the 8GB RAM variant of the moto g 5G plus will retail at PHP 16,990.
