Six The Northstar has released his first international work after teaming up with Deja Vu for an album.
Over the course of lockdown, the Manila-based producer has collaborated with the Washington-based rapper for a project titled Loverboy, Six's first international work, and Deja Vu's sophomore album. In this stretch, the two artists made their separate recordings, with beats mixed locally by Cosche Locomotive.
This record carries Six’s signature jazz samples sprinkled with Deja Vu’s DC flow. “Loverboy” is a laidback set with beats you can chill to. It takes you through a story of love and its many intricacies in nine tracks.
Following this release, Six is set to release another international collaboration, with Fil-Am rapper, Baji ETC, by the end of this month. Aside from that, the 1/3 of the trio called Shadow Moses will release his own EP under Ditto Music called 'Iso,' with his co-member, Ninno of Sunny Side Studio, doing the mixing and mastering duties. And that's not all as Six has a plethora of ongoing collaborations with local artists such as h Eli of Longhaul, 8th Messenger from hip-hop supergroup Pamilia
Dimagiba, and Nothingelse of AMPON.
Six the Northstar is a Manila-based producer and beatmaker best known for his distinct sound coming from a multitude of obscure samples that play with jazz, funk, soul, and the rare kundimans of
old Manila mixed with beats from an AKAI MPC2000 XL.
