Beginning this month, Honda Philippines will export its XRM125 units to New Zealand as part of its objectives of putting out homegrown-made motorcycles on the global map.
By April 2021, HPI shall be exporting the XRM125 to New Zealand since it is the best motorcycle suited for on and off-road usage to cater to the needs of the country’s dairy and livestock industry workers.
"We see the exportation of these motorcycle units as the perfect opportunity to put Philippine-made motorcycles on the map since we can also consider ourselves as a motorcycle-riding country. It can also help the economy recover as we hope this opportunity can provide and sustain jobs in the manufacturing industry in the future," HPI President Susumu Mitsuishi said.
Being the only unique and exclusively-made in the Philippines, Honda has produced over 1.83 million units of the XRM125 motorcycle and has garnered massive demands overseas, since its production in December 2001.
With the exportation, HPI's XRM125 can help New Zealand's agriculture industry workers with its 125cc PGM-Fi engine with under-cowl for added protection. Along with its handlebars, knuckle guard, and front fender, it is perfect for off-road use and longer rides with its 3.9L tank capacity and 65.4km/L fuel consumption, based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC). It also has other features that can help industry workers with their transportation needs in their profession, like its spacious utility-box, pillion step, muffler, Sporty CRF-inspired headlight, and equipped digital meter panel.
Its riders also get to ride in style with its techno sport-inspired decals and color variations of Ceramic Gray, Dark Green, Fighting Red, and Aura Blue. Filipinos interested in the unit can find it in all Honda dealerships in the Philippines with a retail price ranging from PhP 67,900 to PhP73,600.
Banking on its ONE Dream campaign, Honda Philippines Inc. aims to help fulfill the Filipino dream through the joy of mobility by putting Philippine-made motorcycles on the global map and providing more opportunities for the economy.
