Zack Tabudlo has achieved a couple of massive successes as of late.
As if bringing having countless raves and acclaims from his previous works, the singer-songwriter and producer scored number 1 hit on hit charts of Spotify and YouTube with his latest single, Binibini.
Directed by Dan Villegas, Binibini's music video starred Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin. It has become one of the most viewed Filipino music videos after garnering over 5 million views on the popular video streaming website alone.
This stemmed from numerous times of being back and forth with Dan Villegas' team about the main concept and eventually coming up with an intriguing premise to spice up the narrative.
“The video was reversed in post,” Tabudlo said in a statement. “It shows how ending something that makes you happy wants you to go back from the very start. I also had to memorize my song backwards 200x the speed to get that smooth slow-mo effect, while singing the song as the rain goes upwards. It also gives you a vague ending that is open to personal interpretation.”
Tabudlo had also nothing but praises and grateful for both Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin for exemplary performances as a young couple caught in romantic disarray.
“Working with them was pretty cool! I never really worked with big names in the acting industry before, so seeing them shoot the scenes especially the dramatic ones gave me goosebumps. You can really see the difference of real actors that can make a story come to life.”
For a while, Binibini also became the biggest song in the country after peaking at No. 1 on the streaming platform’s Top 50 charts a day after the music video was released.
Meanwhile, Zack's other song, ‘Nangangamba,’ was recently announced as the main soundtrack to the Ideafirst Company’s sci-fi romance drama, LOVE VS. STARS. This song is also the No. 1 track on both Spotify’s Global Viral 50 chart and Philippines Viral 50 chart.; making it the second-highest streamed domestic track after ‘Binibini’ on the said platform.
