DECATHLON Philippines opens new branch at MOA

DECATHLON Philippines has recently opened its fifth branch in the country at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Three weeks since its grand opening of their first concept store at SM City North EDSA, the France-headquartered sporting goods retailer unveiled The Phygital DECATHLON Pasay at the second level of the Entertainment Mall inside the MOA Complex on Saturday (18 December 2021). 



The 1500-square meter store houses 5,000 products that caters to over 70 sports—available both online and offline—plus unbeatable customer service that comprises of lifetime warranties, and competitive return and exchange policies. The Brand also caters to advanced players and sporting innovation.

The new branch marks its fifth store since its first inception in Alabang, Muntinlupa City four years ago. DECATHLON also have its e-commerce platform (decathlon.ph) launched at the same year, as well as another branch at Tiendesitas in Pasig City, and its first standalone store in Masinag, Antipolo City, Rizal in 2019. 
“We want DECATHLON to be the favorite sports brand for Filipinos,” said Hans Iff, CEO of DECATHLON Philippines. “Thanks to the innovation and unbeatable value of our in-house brands, we can deliver top-quality products to guarantee customer.”


New playgrounds 

The two new branch openings took place following a long-term partnership between DECATHLON and SM Supermalls that commenced this year; prompting the mall chain to build and enter the sporting communities.

“Each DECATHLON Platform aims to make an impact on the local community through and for the love of sports,” shared Ian Reoperez, store manager of DECATHLON Pasay. “And each person discovers their love for sports within Decathlon walls is a win for each of us.”

Upon the formal opening, Reoperez reiterated that customers can look forward to more online and physical sports events in line with the lightened COVID-19 restrictions. Not only that, fans can also seamless digital features in the new store, such as next-day and click-and-collect services that will be available as part of the integration of the store to DECATHLON's website. Everyone can also avail their membership for FREE. Aside from that, Reoperez also said that developments for easier shopping are on their way, thanks to the team's obsession with customer service.

The new branches are of course now part of Decathlon's network of stores based in more than 1,7000 locations in 61 countries worldwide.





Sustainable playing

Aside from the much-improved shopping and customer service experience, DECATHLON customers can also choose and enjoy Eco-designed sports products that are produced with lesser negative environmental impact, and Second Life items that are still in baseline working condition. 

Reoperez also assured that the Brand is coming up with more sustainable solutions to engage our customers in mindset as part of its campaign of having #SportsForEveryJuan. 



The new DECATHLON branch is open on weekdays from 11 AM to 10 PM and on weekends from 10 AM to 10 PM at L2 Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
