Over 4.2 million Filipinos residing in the United States can now conveniently pay for their families’ utility bills in the Philippines through the partnership of PLDT Global Corporation (PGC), the international arm of the Philippines' largest integrated network company, PLDT Inc., and online payment platform Billpay Connect (BPC).
Under this partnership, overseas Filipino customers can directly pay for Philippine bills, send electronic gifts, purchase prepaid load or top up their Free Bee accounts, from the convenience of their own homes through the BPC portal or mobile app.
“This partnership is another step in our goal to provide overseas Filipino workers or migrants access to services that can help them conveniently support their families in the Philippines. With our customers as our north star, we are consistently looking for ways to bridge the gap and serve them with the best digital solutions and the best customer experience that we can offer,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, President and CEO at PGC.
Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, BPC is a solution “created by an OFW for the OFW” which allows them to “focus on what really matters” without having to worry about managing their due dates back home. BPC’s technology also enables customers to schedule, monitor, and pay their bills on a regular or one-time basis through their credit cards, debit cards, or via electronic checks.
“We have a very secure, highly reliable, and the most affordable online bills payment service. Our partnership with PLDT Global allows us to reach more customers. They simply need to access the portal, choose the merchant billers that they want to pay, indicate the fund they want to utilize, and pay in real time. We are very proud to work hand in hand with PLDT Global to serve overseas Filipinos,” said Luis Abiera, Chief Executive Officer of BPC.
This initiative for overseas Filipinos is anchored on PLDT’s mission and purpose to connect and empower Filipinos everywhere digitally.
