In one of the biggest events to be stage late this year, NewVibePH in cooperation with Bantay Kalikasan Foundation will be holding a series of programs in line with helping the rejuvenation of the La Mesa Ecopark – and this will be kicked off by a concert for a cause titled Tunog At Letra Music Festival.
Scheduled to emanate on 26 November 2022 at the Marikina Sports Complex, this event will be headlined by today's hottest acts such as Agaw Agimat, Blaster and The Celestial Klownz, CHNDTR, and Tanya Markova; as well as NewVibe's very own Olkisrotom and Skoolservice; and other notable names in the music scene like Dan Martel, Off To Neverland, and Shanni, to name a few. Not only that, but in line with NewVibe's aim of fulfilling dreams through promoting indie music, independent acts such as Soleil Misalucha, The Mox, HUNYO, Angel Sengco, Toto Alava, Joel Jabelosa, Rein PH, Last Days of December, Nadj Zablan, Mad Generic, Edward Anthony and many others, will also join to showcase and entertain. All in all, over 37 artists are set to grace the stage from 12:00 noon onwards.
Aside from sparking a medley of events, Tunog At Letra will also serve as a fundraiser for the aforementioned restoration efforts of the La Mesa Ecopark. Specifically, they are hopeful to plant 400 seedlings within the area, as well as to support its other advocacies and campaigns under the beneficiaries such as the Bantay Kalikasan Foundation, La Mesa Ecopark Rehabilitation Program, the Helping Hands Club, and the Organisasyon ng Musikerong Indie.
The organizers also said in a statement:
"For the aim of halting climate change and preventing environmental disasters such flash floods and soil erosion, we are passionate about recovering Mother Nature through forestation."
Prior to staging Tunog at Letra, NewVibe PH and Bantay Kalikasan Foundation joined forces this past 5 June for “Music and Nature at La Mesa Ecopark” as part of the Environment Month @ La Mesa, which also led to this partnership among these two entities.
Following this concert for a cause, the group also plans to stage more events soon like the Awit-Tawanan Concert for a Cause, Zumba for a Cause, and a planned indie Battle of the Bands for a Cause.
You can catch the first leg of this momentous festival this November 26, 2022, 12:00pm to 12:00am at the Marikina Sports Center, Marikina City where the “Go Green – Concert for a Cause” concert will start things.
