Better With Beer, Hong Kong’s ultimate craft beer festival, brought the curtain down on two days of world-class brews, great food, live music and entertainment, comedy, outdoor games, and more today following two memorable Saturday sessions at Central Harbourfront. Organised by the team behind Clockenflap in partnership with the Craft Beer Association of Hong Kong, the two-day event featured over 150 beers from more than 20 local breweries and distributors, showcasing the very best of Hong Kong’s buzzing craft brewing scene across three four-hour sessions.
The Saturday afternoon session (noon-4pm) got off to a flyer with live pop, reggae and dancehall from Murphy and The Lawyers, followed by indie-folk singer-songwriter Gwenji, psychedelic surf rockers Mr Koo and the IRSP Records Takeover, with performances from Biascut, Science Noodles, Leathions, Daisy Daisy, Mason Moy and IQ society. The Saturday evening session (6pm to 10pm) began with upbeat dance rock and synth pop from Shumking Mansion, followed by rockabilly mavericks The Boogie Playboys and freeform jazz band Fountain Collective, before eclectic hip-hop crew M4Gang finished the festival on a high note.
Attendees also enjoyed a selection of live stand-up comedians presented by Backstage Comedy, Drag Bingo with Madame Mincemeat, Lip Sync Battle HK, and a selection of fun games, including Giant Aeroplane Chess and Giant Jenga.
