Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s biggest international outdoor music and arts festival, last night kicked off three days of world-class entertainment with an action-packed evening at Central Harbourfront.
Legendary French duo Air were the Friday night headliners on the Harbourflap Stage, captivating fans by playing their seminal debut album ‘Moon Safari’ in its entirety with the Hong Kong skyline providing a stunning backdrop. Also performing on the festival’s main stage on Friday were Cantopop icon Carl Wong and The Hats On Band ft. Jer Lau and acclaimed Atlanta DJ/producer Porter Robinson.
The Hang Seng Stage hosted an impressively eclectic opening night lineup, with memorable sets from Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts, Taiwanese indie favourites deca joins and Canadian alt-rockers Mother Mother. Elsewhere at the festival, the Park Stage by Martell showcased cutting-edge acts such as South Korean shoegazers The Black Skirts, Chengdu-based post-punks Hiperson and LA dream pop duo Bubble Tea and Cigarettes, while Canadian DJ/producer A-Trak lit up the Electriq Stage with a high-energy headline set.
