Regardless of how fiery it has been on all cylinders, it's undeniable that the year 2017 has been a wonderful year. Right in the midst of the mid-2010s band explosion, we have seen it brought a lot of good shits in our Philippine world of music (and we mean quality here, by the way). 

Yours truly have made it to a number of gigs curated by various production outfits (in fact, more than I attended for the past two years). These also include some of the biggest concerts and music festivals that has solely focused on out homegrown talents. That said, here are 17 nights that really left a mark in '17... well, at least for me.

The Scene Around: Summer Komikon 2017

It may be April 1 but the scorching hot weather was no joke and were serious to welcome everyone to the 2017 Summer Komikon that took place in Unilab Bayanihan Center in Pasig City. And a short visit for a first-timer guy like me turned out to be hot in a good way.

Tapos na ang isang makulay na taon para sa atin. Kalahati yata ng sangakatuhan na naging masaya, at kalahati rin naman ang nadismaya. Yan ay kung personal na buhay ang pinag-uusapan; pero kung sa mundo ng pulitika, sining at kultura, palakasan, at ultimo showbiz, mas maraming mga hindi magagandang balita ang naglabasan mula sa kontrobersiyal na aytem hanggang sa mga obitwaryo. Malamang, pakana na rin kasi ito ng paborito mong mga channel sa mainstream media (oo, mga bias kayo! LOL biro lang!)

Pero tapos na ang isa sa mga pinakamalalang taon sa kasaysayan ng mga nakalipas. Panahon na para magmove-on at maglet-go ng sama ng loob at basura. Bakit kanyo? 2017 na eh!
