The Pre-take: WWE SummerSlam 2017 (Part 2)

We may have been hours away from witnessing the second's biggest WWE pay-per-view event, the one they called “the biggest party of the summer,” and coinciding with an all-heavy music fetsival in the Philippines.

The 31st edition of SummerSlam is poised to take off on Sunday evening at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York (Monday morning Philippine time), their third-straight tiume in staging the event at the said venue.  And for over the decade, SummerSlam were only situated in two venues: Barclays Center and Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Money in the Bank 2017

A few months ago, me and one of my elder buddies in the music scene (who's also a wrestling fan) that goes by the name of Cris Ramos debated that Money in the Bank should've been a non-exclusive pay-per-view (PPV) event. But of course, it's not gonna happen at all as SmackDown live, home to the WWE Champion, is the house of their alternate-to-the-first biggest individual prize. That said, the blue brand is the home of Money in the Bank.

The Rundown Slam: WrestleMania 33 (Part 1)

04/09/2017 08:36:32 PM

At least, save the lack of enough hype for this, WrestleMania 33 will probably fall down as one of the most talked-about WrestleManias of all-time. The biggest event was staged at Orlando once again since WM24, and just five years in the Florida state since WrestleMania 28 in Miami. And it was dragging as fuck with seven hours and nearly fifteen minutes in coverage.

But the party at least lived up to the expectations – well, half of them.

The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 33 – Championship Matches

04/02/2017 11:54:43 PM

We head on to WrestleMania with a RAW Tag Team Championship on the line, and it promises to be a very entertaining one as The Club will defend their titles as they face Sheamus-Cesaro and Enzo-Big Cass in a triple threat match.

The Rundown Slam: WWE TLC 2016

12/13/2016 10:42:47 PM

It is SmackDown's last hurrah to woo the competition for 2016 as we look forward to the Royal Rumble season afterwards. This is the World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) own version of what they called Demolition Derby called TLC – Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

The Pre-take: WWE TLC 2016

It's that time of the year where Christmas is served here at WWE the barbaric way – as similar to what they called Demolition Derby. Though there is a Roadblock PPV after this one, let's say this is SmackDown's last chance to end the year with a bang as the blue-branded program will stage their exclusive event called TLC – that is Tables, Ladders, and Chairs, ladies and gentlemen.

Six matches were about to be slated in the special.

The Rundown Slam: WWE No Mercy

10/15/2016 02:19:24 AM

It's kinda strange to see the order of how things took place at Sacramento, California, during the staging of the WWE's second Smackdown Live-exclusive pay-per-view event called WWE No Mercy. They kicked off with a main event and end the night with a supposedly-main event show but seemingly not enough to be tagged as one.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Backlash 2016

09/18/2016 06:40:14 PM

I must say SmackDown Live has been topping the competition wars against Monday Night RAW here in this new era of the WWE so far. At least, for now; unless Clash of Champions will pull off a monumental run this coming Sunday.

Look: their first pay-per-view called Backlash may have run a bit longer than the usual set-up (which is 3 hours long), but the show is packed like SummerSlam to say the least. The arrangement of cards were solid from start to finish. The story lines behind them were crafted well (not that very well but at least way better than their RAW rival).

And before we put the verdict into the entirety, let's take the rundown.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Money In The Bank 2016

06/22/2016 01:02:31 PM

It was a blockbuster Sunday night at the United States as the world of sports and entertainment had put up a massive heavyweight treats (and it actually came in threes) in time for Father's Day. People worldwide had been waiting for a new episode of Game Of Thrones, while at the Bay Area and Ohio, thousands witnessed the culminating game 7 of an epic finale showdown between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.

And here at Las Vegas, professional wrestling gambled all in for the World Wrestling Entertainment's annual special event known as the Money In The Bank.

Perhaps if there’s any other best brawl for Mania, it’s this Hell in a Cell match. And frankly enough they have redeemed themselves from having a poor, illogical booking here. It was nothing but a fantastic match so to speak.

Sami Zayn gets his hands at the man who once called him as “best friend” but at the same time that turned back on him after winning the NXT championship; while it’s Charlotte and Sasha Banks again for the NXT Women’s championship – plus Bayley and Becky Lynch; and a whole lot more occure4d in this NXT special event known as Takeover Rival.

The Rundown Slam: NXT Takeover REvolution

12/24/2014 6:36:35 PM

At the event where the World Wrestling Entertainment is switching gears past the Authority Era, the developmental stage had few things in mind: the possibly shifting of supremacy in some kind of revolutionary manner, the entrance of another heavyweight shift in the pro wrestling scene, and the development of other stars...something I’d like to call as evolution.

NXT, the WWE’s developmental firm just had their fourth special episode of the year, and it’s called Takeover REvolution.
