Alaala Ni Bray Wyatt

Oo.

The Pre-take: WWE SummerSlam 2017 (Part 1)

We may have been hours away from witnessing the second's biggest WWE pay-per-view event, the one they called “the biggest party of the summer,” and coinciding with an all-heavy music fetsival in the Philippines.

The 31st edition of SummerSlam is poised to take off on Sunday evening at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York (Monday morning Philippine time), their third-straight tiume in staging the event at the said venue.  And for over the decade, SummerSlam were only situated in two venues: Barclay Center and Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Rundown Slam: WrestleMania 33 (Part 4)

04/09/2017 10:38:52 PM

Just when we thought about of the WWE Championship as the main event of WrestleMania, we ended up on the wrong path again. They piloted the second half of this five-hour extravaganza with a supposedly-compelling storyline.

The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 33 – WWE Championship Match

04/03/2017 01:13:39 AM

Probably, after Royal Rumble we have already seen in our minds that the 16-time champ John Cena will be defending the WWE Championship against Rumble winner Randy Orton; a clash for the ages – and we mean in both good and bad notes.

The Rundown Slam: WWE TLC 2016

12/13/2016 10:42:47 PM

It is SmackDown's last hurrah to woo the competition for 2016 as we look forward to the Royal Rumble season afterwards. This is the World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) own version of what they called Demolition Derby called TLC – Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

The Rundown Slam: WWE No Mercy

10/15/2016 02:19:24 AM

It's kinda strange to see the order of how things took place at Sacramento, California, during the staging of the WWE's second Smackdown Live-exclusive pay-per-view event called WWE No Mercy. They kicked off with a main event and end the night with a supposedly-main event show but seemingly not enough to be tagged as one.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Backlash 2016

09/18/2016 06:40:14 PM

I must say SmackDown Live has been topping the competition wars against Monday Night RAW here in this new era of the WWE so far. At least, for now; unless Clash of Champions will pull off a monumental run this coming Sunday.

Look: their first pay-per-view called Backlash may have run a bit longer than the usual set-up (which is 3 hours long), but the show is packed like SummerSlam to say the least. The arrangement of cards were solid from start to finish. The story lines behind them were crafted well (not that very well but at least way better than their RAW rival).

And before we put the verdict into the entirety, let's take the rundown.

RoadBlock Ahead?!

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is on the verge of staging their build-ups for WrestleMania. This past Royal Rumble, we had the second edition of WWE Fast Lane. In six weeks time, the question: is it really a quicker route for the Show of Shows?

Un-survivng the Fantasy Booking

11/19/2015 6:39:01 PM

As much as I wanna feel excited for Survivor Series, I ended up hitting the dismayed emoticon.

And why not? The theme for Survivor Series is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Undertaker; and the only way to do so is by having him the captain of the Survivor Series team for the latest edition.

I guess the WWE creatives are trying to break everyone’s expectation; considering professional wrestling is “scripted” by nature.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Hell in a Cell 2015

WWE's Hell In A Cell may not be scheduled in the exact Halloween evening, but certainly was a perfect treat for such.

What’s the reason to say not to? You got two cage fights, and a fitting character in The Undertaker? Plus, kinda ironic in the set-up... the city of Los Angeles (that's a good introduction, Michael Cole!).

Without any further ado, let’s get down to business.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Battleground 2015

Well, things are about to take a swerve as SummerSlam approaches. But before we head to a season switch, we got a warfare called Battleground, where some of the feuds had some sort of very long-but-almost forgettable beginnings.

Just My Opinion: WWE Payback 2015

The Shield reuniting, some sets of rubber matches, and perhaps an impressive video package—all that despite WWE’s production design has been sucking at hell.

Yes, it was all about Justice, Retribution, and PAYBACK.

The Pre-Take: WrestleMania 31 (Part 3)

3/29/2015 9:01:46 PM

screengrab from YouTube

Since it’s gonna be another heck-of-an-event this coming Sunday evening in Silicon Valley (Monday morning Manila time), expect the millions (and millions!) of wrestling fans around the globe to witness the World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) 31st annual spectacle, popularly known as WrestleMania!

And what’s a WrestleMania for the SlickMaster – along with his followers (whom, by the way, are just countable by your fingertips!) without a “pre-take,” right?

Talk about predictions, just like the way we have last year.

Can You Still Dig It?

3/14/2015 8:27:03 PM

I hate to sound like either Booker T’s entrance or the Iron Man Three’s closing credits clip here. First and foremost, I’m not writing this post to diss the Undertaker. In fact, he’s one of my favorite wrestlers in the World Wrestling Entertainment, especially if it’s about their biggest program named WrestleMania.

Though last year was perhaps the most surprising moment of them all—his loss to a ruthless athlete named Brock Lesnar. It was so shocking it even overshadowed the overhyped-but-underdelivered Andre the Giant memorial battle royal, as well as Daniel Bryan’s sojourn to championship.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Fastlane

3/1/2015 3:25:19 PM

Just merely 35 nights before the grandest stage of sports entertainment, the World Wrestling Entertainment unleashed another pay-per-view, replacing Elimination Chamber in the process. The road seemed a smooth one as WWE took on the Fastlane.

WWE Fastlane comprised nine segments -- seven matches and two face-off sequences, in front of a not-so-loudly crowd FedEx Forum at Memphis, Tennessee. I wonder how Jerry “The King” Lawler felt that time. Sorry, man.

The Rundown Slam: WWE TLC 2014

12/30/2014 8:43:16 PM
It was near Christmas, and the World Wrestling Entertainment pulled off their version of “Demolition Derby,” and it’s on the home of King James, the Hall of Fame of Rock and Roll, the place where the Q lives in – Cleveland, Ohio. Talk about the WWE’s Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Stairs, or better known as TLC (TLCS term, though, sucks).

This is Awesome (The Notable Matches on WWE PPV Events of 2014 Part 1)

12/30/2014 11:39:47 AM

Let me reiterate: this is sole my opinion alone, and not a reflection of views from any wrestling affiliations I belonged with. Yes, after all, I don’t consider myself a total smark, but an avid follower.

The arrangement of the matches listed in this article were chronologically, and not on a countdown-like basis. All matches were held on their Pay Per View (PPV) events.

For every WWE pay-per-view event, there were at least one, two, or few more cards which deserved this type of chant.

Yes, and I intend to start this post with that “This Is Awesome” clip from the 2014 Slammy Awards. Not because of the nominees, but the hype the music brought on it. How I wish I could play that one minus the commentary as the background while you guys read this post.

The Rundown Slam: WWE SummerSlam 2014

8/19/2014 4:41:28 PM

Devianart / Facebook
It’s the 27th annual summer tradition in the pro wrestling world once again, as the World Wrestling Entertainment staged their sixth straight (and final of the stretch) SummerSlam at Los Angeles Sunday evening (Monday morning Manila time).

A nine-card pay-per-view event was said to be the best so far in 2014, according to several fans and observers. Well, I beg to disagree even though I gave a high rating for this one, too. If you wanna know why, let me tell you the story as you go along with this post.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Extreme Rules 2014

5/21/2014 8:31:25 AM

Everything just went extreme during that first Sunday of May 2014, as the World Wrestling Entertainment unleashed their latest edition of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event held May 4 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford.

And over that three-hour stretch, I can only come with few takes regarding the matter, but too bad the Wee-LC match between El Torrito and Hornswoggle was not shown on air though. I can only manage to catch-up via their highlights aired during the evening. On the shallow aspect, it was indeed entertaining.

Just My Opinion: Wrestemania XXX: Legacy Vs False Prophecy Round 1

5/5/2014 7:58:19 AM

So John Cena prevails, but another part of this plot will roll ‘til the Extreme Rules, eh? Some wrestling enthusiasts said their match with Bray Wyatt should have been the second best of the night.

And the flaws: They still lacked the much hype in compliance to their story line.

And maybe, I would agree with that.
