Isang buwan rin ang pagitan ng mga ginaganap na presidential debate na inorganisa ng Commission of Elections (COMELEC), ano? Parang kailan lang, nasa Cagayan De Oro sila sa pagsisimula ng debate-seryeng ito. Samantalang parang kailan lang din ay nasa Cebu sila para sa ikalawang leg nito.
Sa darating na Linggo ng hapon, kung pagbabasehan ay ang oras ng aking pagsulat nito, ay gaganapin ang huling PiliPinas presidential debate sa Dagupan, Pangasinan.
Pero bago ang lahat, ano nga bang nangyari sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas sa Cebu?

Papasadahan ko lang ito. Nag-alburoto na naman ang halos
lahat ng netizens ng Pilipinas noong lumabas ang video ng isang nagngagalang
Jimmy Sieczka. Ang ginawa lang naman ni Sieczka ay “20 things I dislike about
the Philippines .”
Isa sa dalawang bersyon niya ng mga feature na palbas ukol sa Pilipinas (ang
isa naman ay 20 things I like about the Phiilippines.)At dahil nga umani ito ng
sari-sari pero madalas ay negatibong remarks sa internet, halos i-kunsidera na
ng isang konsehal ng Cebu
City bilang “persona non
grata.” Pero hindi nito itinuloy at sa halip, humingi ito ng paumanhin ang
taong ni Sieczka via sa kanyang video sa Channelfix.
Bagamat marami ang tumuligsa sa taong ito, marami rin naman
ang nakakaintindi. Marami nga naman ang dapat ayusin sa bansang ito. Hindi naman
pwede sa lahat ng oras ay maganda lang ang nakikita natin. Kung may pangit
dyan, ano? Magbubulag-bulagan tayo? E ba’t pa tayo nanonood ng mga balita kung
ganun din naman e, marami rin naming negatibong pangyayayri dun?At ito pa,
dapat nasa lugar ang ating “pride” bilang mga Filipino.
