The Best and Worst WrestleMania Moments in the Last 10 Years (Part 1 of 2)

I have been following professional wrestling (although not in a very religious way) since 2012. I have seen WrestleMania during Holy Tuesday of the said year; and it has been a yearly thing for me to watch the show, be it live, primetime replay, or on-demand. That said, it's fair to say I have watched WrestleMania for 12 consecutive years – and probably going on 13 by April 6-7 (or April 7-8 by the Philippine Standard Time).

The Rundown Slam: WWE Elimination Chamber 2021

WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 poster (obtained from Cageside Seats)

The first of two pitstops to this year's WrestleMania had taken place last month—and of course, it's always a diabolical one.

The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 35 (Part 4: The Main Event)

04/06/2019 07:35:56 PM

Sixteen matches for WrestleMania 35. Yes. 16. FREAKIN'. MATCHES. Yes, as if 14 weren't enough for a 7-hour wrestling sports entertainment show, right?

And they are back in a similar location – the one they held in 2013. It's strange because its development counterpart was named NXT TakeOver New York and not Brooklyn V. Same fate as Orlando and New Orleans on the recent years.

Is it worthy to put my predictions here? Probably yes and probably no. But anyway, since I have been writing this shit as of now, let's do this pre-take.

Screwjob?!

I know  I shouldn't make a comment about this match since I have yet to see the entire thing called Money in the Bank. As far as my commonly-known observers are concerned (from Smark Henry to the Sporting Guy), this MITB has been so far the worse gig for the SmackDown Live brand.

What? Another replica of the Women's MITB Ladder Match? And that will take place just 10 days from Sunday the 18th? But why?

Talking Smack, Literally!

08/31/2016 07:47:16 PM

When this video aired last week, it looked like the line has diminshed. The world of reality and kayfabe were seemingly reunited after a blurred boundary; just as similar to what happened to Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton at SummerSlam.

The Debut Of the Inside Wars

Saw the debut programs of WWE's RAW and SmackDown of the “new era.” While things are getting lagged behind due to broadcast problems (thanks, FOX!) I don't think we are far late to make a say about what's happening in the just-changed landscape of the World Wrestling Entertainment. (At least, in their storyline.)

No! No! No!!!

2/9/2016 7:44:34 PM

I first saw him at the very first show by the time I get back to the profession wrestling scene, WrestleMania 28. He was then the World Heavyweight Champion and acting as AJ Lee’s girlfriend. And after a sealed kiss, and 18 seconds, he lost his gold to the brogue kick of the Celtic Warrior named Sheamus.

And just like that, it was the shortest wrestling match I had ever seen. Holy... Oh, wait. It was Holy Tuesday evening when I watched WM28 on Studio 23, so I should shut my mouth.

The Rundown Slam: WrestleMania 31

Like a holiday jingle, “it’s that wonderful time of the year” again, as the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) staged their annual entertainment spectacular event once again. And by the way, it comes with a play button.

WrestleMania 31 was a heck of a show at the Silicon Valley. Forget that it aired on a Sunday afternoon—with a sun-shinyyy day atmosphere. It may appeared scorching hot as shit right there, but you can never deny the event was hotter as it gets.

As much as I want to tackle the pre-show which featured 2 matches, I hadn’t watched them so I beg your pardon in advance and instead move on to the main program.

The Pre-take: WrestleMania 31 (Part 2)

Since it’s gonna be another heck-of-an-event this coming Sunday evening in Silicon Valley (Monday morning Manila time), expect the millions (and millions!) of wrestling fans around the globe to witness the World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) 31st annual spectacle, popularly known as WrestleMania!

And what’s a WrestleMania for the SlickMaster – along with his followers (whom, by the way, are just countable by your fingertips!) without a “pre-take,” right?

Talk about predictions, just like the way we have last year.

Just My Opinion: WrestleMania XXX – Supreme Rising Against Conspiracy

5/22/2014 2:08:45 AM

Look, it may be Randy Orton versus Batista versus Daniel Bryan for that WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt. I mean, it appeared to be like a one-on-one-on-one clash, or simply let’s call it “triple threat.”

But as I watched the event thru both online live streaming and the television coverage (which, by the way, props to Fox Philippines for saving our raging sanity), I can only sense one thing… conspiracy.

Just My Opinion: WrestleMania XXX – Step-Ladder To Supremacy

Daniel Bryan and Triple H collided in a step-ladder match en route to a triple threat battle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on WrestleMania 30 last April.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Extreme Rules 2014

5/21/2014 8:31:25 AM

Everything just went extreme during that first Sunday of May 2014, as the World Wrestling Entertainment unleashed their latest edition of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event held May 4 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford.

And over that three-hour stretch, I can only come with few takes regarding the matter, but too bad the Wee-LC match between El Torrito and Hornswoggle was not shown on air though. I can only manage to catch-up via their highlights aired during the evening. On the shallow aspect, it was indeed entertaining.
