The Rundown Slam: WWE Extreme Rules 2017

We get it. Braun's (then) out, so that prospect match with Roman Reigns was shelved, and probably we have expected that to be carried on by the likes of Dean Ambrose and The Miz. And by the first look, Exterme Rules wouldn't have been salvaged if: (1) the former Intercontinental Champ wasn't sent to RAW as part of the Superstar Shake-up; and (2) the Hardy Boyz surprise return.

The Rundown Slam: WWE Extreme Rules 2016

It's about time the World Wrestling Entertainment has gone beyond control. Talk about revolutionary where the underdogs stepped its way to revelry. Where an emerging club dares to take down the bloodline of the top empire. Where a reckoned force gets its way back domination. This is when the WWE gets extreme, and it's literally called Extreme Rules.

But did the WWE Extreme Rules 2016 paid extremely well as the second pay-per-view of the new era?

An Extreme Return

With WWE Extreme Rules came to a close, it was still the guy who holds the title. Yes, Roman Reigns retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The Pre-take: WWE Extreme Rules 2016

It's about time the World Wrestling Entertainment go extreme and it still never goes out of style since it's still the month of May anyway.

After switching dates and places with Payback, WWE will be staging the most ruthless and the most aggressive of them all, Extreme Rules; and it's all happening at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey this Sunday evening (Monday morning Manila time).

An Asylum Match?!

05/18/2016 05:56:44 PM

We all know what's gonna happens next Sunday, even if they appeared like an unconfirmed rumor: Dean Ambrose will face Chris Jericho at Extreme Rules.

And just when we though we will have two extreme rules matches at the event itself come Sunday night, we were wrong. At first I was disappointed, considering Ambrose headlining the poster of ER.

But hey, after seeing the clip from WWE Raw via YouTube, I could only utter two words: What's this? Oh sorry, make it five—what on earth is this?

Just My Opinion: WWE Extreme Rules 2015

05/15/2015 12:03:18 PM

Since WWE Payback is just around the corner, and I managed to watch a WWE pay-per-view event three weeks ago. Oh, looks like I haven't made my review yet on this edition's “shades of ECW” titled WWE Extreme Rules.

It's about time the World Wrestling Entertainment went over their typical limits once again, as they set their edition of Extreme Rules tomorrow morning (Sunday night at Chicago).

The Rundown Slam: WWE Extreme Rules 2014

Everything just went extreme during that first Sunday of May 2014, as the World Wrestling Entertainment unleashed their latest edition of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event held May 4 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford.

And over that three-hour stretch, I can only come with few takes regarding the matter, but too bad the Wee-LC match between El Torrito and Hornswoggle was not shown on air though. I can only manage to catch-up via their highlights aired during the evening. On the shallow aspect, it was indeed entertaining.

The Pre-Take: Extreme Rules

5/3/2014 10:29:10 PM

As much as everything goes stale for me in the pro wrestling world (specifically I haven’t even wrote my separate takes for the battles for this past Wrestlemania), here are my predictions for WWE Extreme Rules 2014:

Crybaby

I think we should apply this saying:”The ones who cry loud, cries best.”

Brock Lesnar may be tagged as a “crybaby” due to the bad knee that he sustained during the finale part of the WWE’s Extreme Rules. But he delivered something more important than his tears and loudest moans – a victory. More importantly, that W served as the tie-breaker on their series of clashes between him and the 13-time champion Triple H.

Electrocuted Ending

4:02:55 PM | 5/23/2013 | Thursday

I never witnessed much of the World Wrestling Entertainment’s Extreme Rules event. As I turned on my television set (for the first and only time then) and tuned in to Studio 23, I only managed to catch the last two main fights, and that includes the title "Last Man Standing" match for the WWE championship, and the one in the steel cage. More like “Hell in the Cell,” if I got it right.

Sure, “it’s quite brutally scripted big time” as others may say. But and however, I find the last few minutes portion of the fight… not anymore. And I’m talking Ryback’s clash with the champion John Cena. They are already exchanging heated words and some physical action prior to the Extreme Rules contest. And it already seems that the former’s hungrier to win as the latter’s still battling with injuries on his left ankle.
