On a random time in July, I strolled around the nearest hangout place Eastwood City just to (well, obviously) hangout and get away from all those personal breakdowns I ever had for the past few months of my life. It has been a rocky year and yet I managed to utter these words despite just hitting the halfway point of 2016.

It's interesting to see the mall giant SM taking one step in appreciating the country's music scene, especially in their 30th year in the business. And while Beatstroked proved they could handle such events at the Eastern side of the Metro (Taytay, Rizal, to be exact), Marikina was the stage to showcase the up-and-comers during that fateful evening of Friday, 20 May 2016, as SM City Marikina celebrated Indiefest Summer Music Festival

As part of the celebration of 30 years of shopping, SM Supermalls have been staging several festivities. We have seen Taytay, Rizal rocked last Friday night when they staged Beatstroked, the biggest Summer Music Festival in the East, featuring Parokya Ni Edgar, Mayonnaise, and a lot of notable bands in the music industry.

Last Sunday, Tanya Markova and other musicians have rocked SM City San Mateo with their Summer Music Party.

Now, it's Marikina's turn to waged a music fest of their own as SM City Marikina brings you Indiefest, Summer Music Festival. And it featured the very first gathering of indie scene's finest!

Before we call it a "September to Remember," (like what the title of a series of gigs) we should see something that's worth the night for that one night of September. Yes, aside from Tagaytay Art Beat.
