Oh. Tapos na ang NBA Finals, mga tsong at tsang. At gaya ng inaasahan ng marami, nanalo ang Golden State Warriors.

Sila Na Naman?! (NBA Finals Na! E Ano Ngayon? v. 2018)

So... NBA Finals na ulit ngayong darating na Huwebes ng gabi (Biyernes ng umaga, oras sa Pilipinas) at live ito mula sa Oakland, California. Oo, Game 1 na.

Eh ano naman ngayon?

Revenge and Ascension to the Throne

Emergence. This is the word that described best about LeBron James. After being a choker in the past two NBA Finals series as the leader of Cleveland Cavaliers, James carried his team back into the biggest stage of professional basketball world and all the way til they reached the pinnacle of success, the NBA Championship! All that despite being almost buried down in the deep midway through their best-of-seven semifinal series against (and again) then-defending champs Golden State Warriors.

The Pre-take: 2016 NBA Finals

I know it's been quite late to do this. Two games have passed by, and we have seen the utmost and the unquestionable domination of the defensing champions. Perhaps, a 3-1 deficit at the Western Conference Finals served them as a wake-up call; keeping their hopes of making history (on a good note) alive and salvaged themselves from marking a bad one. (After all, who would like to see a 73-9 winning team go to waste in the battle for the representation of the current's most dominating conference at the NBA?)

Thundering On The Brink of Elimination

05/25/2016 06:48:10 PM

The Golden State Warriors lost two straight games for the first time this season, eh?

Anyone thought it was a big deal, don't you? Well, yeah, it could really be a big deal since this time around—the defending champions ended up trailing 3-1 in their best-of-7 series for the Western Conference Championship; and also the right to represent the conference in the upcoming NBA Finals.

Wait, how on earth did that happen?

The Pre-take: 2016 NBA Western Conference Finals

NBA
Say, I have been missing a lot on the world of basketball. It's like the last time I have written a prediction on the ongoing NBA playoffs was barely three years ago. And now, here we go to the conference finals.

The Oklahoma City Thunder was on the verge of winning their first crown since 70s (as Seattle Supersonics), and plots on tasking revenge against LeBron James in the 2012 NBA Finals.

But they have a gigantic task to deal—that is to dethrone the current NBA Champions Golden State Warriors, whom are seeking back-to-back titles for the first time in franchise history.

Make or Break?

72 was the number of the day yesterday. It was so significant that it's not just any sort of divisible by anything that is related to the terms of Greatest Common Factor or Least Common Multiple.

What am I talking about?

Upside Down

03/08/2016 09:28:13 AM

Imagine a lopsided result of a heaven-and-hell game. And I mean “heaven and hell” because one team is currently sitting atop of the league standings; while one was on the verge of rebuilding for the next season.

Streak's Over

12/13/2015 12:16:40 PM

For over the past few days, my attention has been caught by the Golden State Warriors. No wonder why they are the present NBA Champions. No wonder why they had a very impressive run for the past season and at present (well, so far).

Tapos na ang NBA Finals. E Ano Ngayon?! (v. 2015)

06/18/2015 10:48:14 AM

Sa wakas, matapos ang apat na dekada—o ang panahon na sila Rick Barry ang matunog sa koponang ito, nagwagi muli ang Golden State Warriors ng kampeonato sa NBA.

So... pagkatapos nito, ano na?

E ano naman kung nagtapos na ang NBA Finals?

E ano naman kung nag-champion muli ang Golden State?

E ANO NGAYON?!

Small Ball, Big Numbers

06/16/2015 06:52:24 PM

After a standoff at 2-2, nothing goes more solid than earning a Game 5 victory, considering a lot of teams in the finals that hold a 3-2 edge won an NBA Finals series.

And just like last Sunday evening in Bay Area, Golden State owned everything – even if they lost the handling at some parts of this ball game.

Major Adjustment

6/14/2015 5:46:01 PM

Game Four was the midway part of a best-of-seven playoff series; and it’s more even vital when it comes to a championship series like the National Basketball Association.

And to be frank, it was a huge turnaround for this year’s finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.

Lesser of a Thriller

Okay, just a few thoughts after watching the game last night thru a local TV coverage (which I think was a downward spiral from their old norm of doing the commentary as it happens straight from

Game 3 was another shade of the previous games: The Cavaliers built the lead, only to have a thrilling finish. The difference, though, is that the rally was only made at the fourth quarter.

First Time, Same Fashion

Game 2 is now in the books, and for the first time in franchise history, the Cleveland Cavaliers have defeated the Golden State Warrior to earn their first ever victory in an NBA championship game.

Now what?

First Blood

6/7/2015 11:57:23 AM

Well, as per historical books, that leaves the Golden State Warriors drawing first blood to end their four-decade long title drought. And with them making a comeback from a 14-point deficit to take the first game of the NBA Championship series at their homecourt? That was a magical one.

So, it's that wonderful time of the year, as the old holiday jingle goes. East meets west once again, like Stephen Curry's date with LeBron James; or should we say... Golden State Warriors with a last dance — and a big one — with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Predictions: 2013 NBA Playoffs – PART 1

1:41:08 AM | 4/19/2013 | Friday

Well, it’s been a long while since I last made my own analysis and predictions about the games around the Association. And we’re talking about the post-season party, of course. It’s time again to give my take on who and what team will be hot and not for the 2013 National Basketball Association playoffs.
