After nearly half-a-year from their last bar outing, The Rest Is Noise is back and a return to Route 196 seems a teasing step on what lies ahead for the music event outfit come their biggest shows later this year.

Move Forward Productions staged a post-Valentines party that highlighted a comeback of one of the bands which could be the the resemblances or equivalent of the term 'emo' in the past. And we don't really mean black and punk-ish, by the way.

The Scene Around: Route 196 10th Anniversary

Route 196, the Metro Manila north side's favorite live music place, celebrated their 10th anniversary last Saturday, 22 October 2016, the massive way!

While some of the early attendants were in for a treat (that includes yours truly, by the way), the show kicked off at 9:30 PM with Lions and Acrobats. Next came the crowd darlings Jensen and The Flips. And I think it wasn't really a bad set despite some technical difficulties surrounding them.

The stage was set at Route 196 on Thursday night, 4 August 2016, as the dance pop rock band Autotelic made its huge step to the pop scene after launching the music video for their first single “Gising.”

After a successful charity nightout four months ago, Mika Ordonez and her friends is back for another gig; with a bigger venue, heavier lineup, and a legitimate identity.

They are now called Raccoon Productions, and they debuted with formality and emphasis as they called their first gig RACC!OON!: A Charity Gig for Kythe Foundation.

How about an awesome way to end a month? Like spending a night out with good music, and the rest is definitely a noise you will like for the rest of your respective lives?

Talk about Indie Manila and Vandals on the Walls’ collaboration titled The Rest is Noise, held the last Friday and Saturday of February 2015. Yours truly, though, dropped by on its second leg held Saturday evening (February 28, 2015) at Route 196 in Blue Ridge, Quezon City.
