Na-JR Smith ka, dre?

06/02/2018 11:01:48 AM

So...

Revenge and Ascension to the Throne

Emergence. This is the word that described best about LeBron James. After being a choker in the past two NBA Finals series as the leader of Cleveland Cavaliers, James carried his team back into the biggest stage of professional basketball world and all the way til they reached the pinnacle of success, the NBA Championship! All that despite being almost buried down in the deep midway through their best-of-seven semifinal series against (and again) then-defending champs Golden State Warriors.

The Pre-take: 2016 NBA Finals

I know it's been quite late to do this. Two games have passed by, and we have seen the utmost and the unquestionable domination of the defensing champions. Perhaps, a 3-1 deficit at the Western Conference Finals served them as a wake-up call; keeping their hopes of making history (on a good note) alive and salvaged themselves from marking a bad one. (After all, who would like to see a 73-9 winning team go to waste in the battle for the representation of the current's most dominating conference at the NBA?)

Tapos na ang NBA Finals. E Ano Ngayon?! (v. 2015)

06/18/2015 10:48:14 AM

So... pagkatapos nito, ano na?

E ANO NGAYON?!

Small Ball, Big Numbers

06/16/2015 06:52:24 PM

After a standoff at 2-2, nothing goes more solid than earning a Game 5 victory, considering a lot of teams in the finals that hold a 3-2 edge won an NBA Finals series.

And just like last Sunday evening in Bay Area, Golden State owned everything – even if they lost the handling at some parts of this ball game.

Major Adjustment

6/14/2015 5:46:01 PM

Game Four was the midway part of a best-of-seven playoff series; and it’s more even vital when it comes to a championship series like the National Basketball Association.

And to be frank, it was a huge turnaround for this year’s finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.

Lesser of a Thriller

Okay, just a few thoughts after watching the game last night thru a local TV coverage (which I think was a downward spiral from their old norm of doing the commentary as it happens straight from

Game 3 was another shade of the previous games: The Cavaliers built the lead, only to have a thrilling finish. The difference, though, is that the rally was only made at the fourth quarter.

First Time, Same Fashion

Game 2 is now in the books, and for the first time in franchise history, the Cleveland Cavaliers have defeated the Golden State Warrior to earn their first ever victory in an NBA championship game.

Now what?

The Aftermath: 2014 NBA Finals

06/17/14 08:30:35 AM

Heat Wave (The Miami Heat’s Road to the 2013 NBA Finals)

1:47:39 PM | 6/20/2013 | Thursday

(Author’s note: The Miami Heat may emerged as the 2013 BA Champions if they will win the Game 7 on Thursday night in Miami, Florida (or Friday morning time at Manila, Philippines).

Miami Heat had come a long way to go before assembling big stars with talents and earned that bragging right to be labeled as one of the “champions” in the National Basketball Association. Yes, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh was the second team to be branded as “the Big Three” in the league’s recent era. 2 years after the Boston Celtics’’ own version of triumvirate was made with Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

Defensive Dominance (The San Antonio Spurs' Run To The 2013 NBA Finals)

11:16:51 PM | 5/28/2013

Author's note: (re-updated 6/19/2013 2:32:57 PM) as of this writing, the Spurs are on the verge of winning the NBA title if they will win Game 7 at Thursday Night in Miami (Friday morning, Manila time)

They’re quiet, they worked under the radar, and more than being either the “underdog” or “dark horse,” they will just surprise you with their winning ways. Perhaps very rare number of people, if not “nobody,” talked about this team, which defied signs of aging, just to compete and win games… yes, even if they’re one of those few teams that are already been mainly treated as the “elders” at the current NBA generation. I am talking about this defense-oriented team by the name of the San Antonio Spurs.

Statement Block

2:00:37 PM | 6/13/2013 | Thursday

Miami heat level the series last week before that huge game 3. Let’s take a lookback though. How on earth did that happened?

4th quarter story, just like any other big games during the previous part of the 2012-2013 season, both regular and post season wars.

The first three quarters appeared like a deja vu sequence for both teams in Game 1. Close fight. But if the game 1 turned in the visitor’s favor. This time, it went on the home team. We saw the last few minutes of the third quarter swindling into the side of Miami Heat. They had a 10-point lead after 36 minutes of action.
But then, just in the middle of the scorching run by the Heat, so was this emphatic block by one of their superstars in Lebron James.

Predictions: 2013 NBA Finals

12:10:00 PM | 6/5/2013 | Wednesday

Author’s note: This blog post is actually the 4th and final post of the “Predictions: 2013 NBA Playoffs series.”

Okay, two teams remained. They’re standing firm and tall. But only one of them will prevail and emerged victorious. So the big question: Which team will win the 2013 National Basketball Association Championship?
