It was funny yet depressive. Some fans loved it, and some critics had opinions about this. Nevertheless, it is known that Don't Look Up has been one of the best movies shown before the year-end, topping over fellow Netflix offerings like the supposedly timely-mockumentary Death To 2021.

Death to 2021 follows its predecessor, Death to 2020. Perhaps a move that prompted the Black Mirror Creators—Broke and Bones—would become an annual ender offering as a Netflix original.

For a movie that has three of today's biggest stars in Hollywood, Red Notice appears to be larger than life and the paper. And after a series of overwhelmingly plot twists, they tried. It was highly entertaining, proven that you quit sitting in your brain for nearly two hours.

Flick ReView: Death To 2020

For most of us, 2020 has been way beyond a typical bad year. Not only we experienced our own share of personal mishaps, but the world underwent a series of sudden, drastic changes. The coronavirus has paralyzed almost everything and re-introduced lockdown to civilizations across the globe.

Not only that, we have mourned over legendary personalities – both old and young – such as Kobe Bryant, Sean Connery, Pat Patterson, and Kenny Rogers, to name a few. There was also notable disaster such as wildfires, volcano eruptions, flashfloods brought by tropical cyclones, and even earthquakes; as well as a political clash that might've triggered another world war. To sum it up, the events that happened in 2020 were like a collection of teasers to what could have been an apocalyptic-like era.

All that said, as Yuletide season passed upon us, we have high hopes that 2021 would be different from this nightmare. That said, Netflix created a comedy event that brought together some of the most noticeable news items and iconic actors to mirror 2020 to its core.

It seems to me that VIVA Films has been producing some of the high-quality local movies recently. Buy Bust somehow raved for its grotesque and proved Anne Curtis can be a tough ass-kicking agent, plus Arjo Atayde being such a devilish guy as a character actor.
