The Rundown Slam: WWE Payback 2016

05/15/2016 11:30:42 AM

WWE
The post-WrestleMania was supposedly to be slated as its revenge tour; thus, setting the pay-per-view event Payback for such an insane conclusion.

But lest we forgot, we are entering the new era, where the authority had been admonished by the rise of the Roman empire, and a new authoritarian (though good guy) has taken over at the expense of earning the respect of his father. (Still, throwing the damn angle of their feud away.)

And just when you thought Shane McMahon has been on the roll, his sister Stephanie gets back on him at Stamford and sent a message from his father Vincent Kennedy.

But before that, let's have a rundown of WWE's annual edition of Payback that was staged once again at Rosemont, Illinois.

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) staged their WrestleMania revenge tour as the aftermath tale of the Show of Shows, and looks like a quarter-long road has taken aback with a shortcut tour to avenge, and that's WWE Payback for you.

The Shield reuniting, some sets of rubber matches, and perhaps an impressive video package—all that despite WWE’s production design has been sucking at hell.

Yes, it was all about Justice, Retribution, and PAYBACK.

Almost half-a-day before the WWE’s latest Sunday special offering called Payback, I tried doing some catch-up watching on wrestling only to see myself getting slept at my couch last Friday night, when FOX aired WWE Raw then. I don’t know if I found the current phase boring or it’s just my body was weak enough to stay all night.

Say, it’s been a very long while since we have seen a very nice pay-per-view (PPV) event from the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), considering that the previous PPVs turned out to be bust (with exception for the sports promotion’s flagship offering WrestleMania of course).

Look, TLC was half-good, but Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber were totally bad; and the latest edition of Extreme Rules came close to excellence.
