The Scene Around: Beatstroked Music Festival

I was invited to cover SM City Marikina's summer music event even years ago. Then, fast-forward to 2023. Amidst the busy schedule, I was fortunate to drop by the grounds of SM City Taytay to witness the latest edition of Beatstroked Music Festival. It also marked the first time I visited Rizal province for a music show of any capacity.

Sometimes, you don’t have to go a hundred or thousand miles away from Manila to see places which are truly beautiful and worth the effort. All you need is to traverse the roads at the nearby provinces, look around, and when you get there, simply appreciate them.

Such as this case when yours truly along with my partner Maxim, stormed by the near-eastern side of Rizal province and witness the beauty of Laguna de Bay at the Lakeside Park.

Pambansang bayani?! Uso pa ba ito sa ating henerasyon sa panahon ngayon? E tila wala na ring pakialam ang tao sa usaping makabayan e.

Kahapon ay araw ng kapanangakan ng ating pambansang bayani na si Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Kaso, ano naman ngayon? Naalala pa kaya ng modernong Pilipino ang kanyang ambag sa kanyang Inang bayan, ang bayan na atin ring nagsisilbing tahanan (maliban na lang kung itinakwil mo na ‘to).
