The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 35 (Part 3)

04/06/2019 03:32:22 PM

Sixteen matches for WrestleMania 35. Yes. 16. FREAKIN'. MATCHES. Yes, as if 14 weren't enough for a 7-hour wrestling sports entertainment show, right?

And they are back in a similar location – the one they held in 2013. It's strange because its development counterpart was named NXT TakeOver New York and not Brooklyn V. Same fate as Orlando and New Orleans on the recent years.

Is it worthy to put my predictions here? Probably yes and probably no. But anyway, since I have been writing this shit as of now, let's do this pre-take.

The Pre-take: WWE SummerSlam 2017 (Part 2)

We may have been hours away from witnessing the second's biggest WWE pay-per-view event, the one they called “the biggest party of the summer,” and coinciding with an all-heavy music fetsival in the Philippines.

The 31st edition of SummerSlam is poised to take off on Sunday evening at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York (Monday morning Philippine time), their third-straight tiume in staging the event at the said venue.  And for over the decade, SummerSlam were only situated in two venues: Barclays Center and Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Rundown Slam: WrestleMania 33 (Part 2)

WrestleMania kicked off with the New Day, and it was really nothing spectacular, just except from the fact that they don a Final Fantasy-inspired get-up; perhaps relating to their theme which is The Ultimate Thrill Ride. And a with potential five-hour thriller? It's not that hard to see why.

The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 33

John Cena and Nikki Bella versus The Miz and Maryse might be one of the best things that will take olace at WrestleMania. At least that saved me from having some pre-event's disdains as a wrestling fan.

While things were quite obvious to be pointing in that direction even during his days of being the 16th time World Champion, it seems that Cena and his real-life girlfriend were planned to engage in an altercation with Mike Mizanin and his wife. Both sports-entertainers (we mean wrestlers) and entertainers at their very own respective rights.

The Debut Of the Inside Wars

Saw the debut programs of WWE's RAW and SmackDown of the “new era.” While things are getting lagged behind due to broadcast problems (thanks, FOX!) I don't think we are far late to make a say about what's happening in the just-changed landscape of the World Wrestling Entertainment. (At least, in their storyline.)

The Rundown Slam: WWE Payback 2016

05/15/2016 11:30:42 AM

WWE
The post-WrestleMania was supposedly to be slated as its revenge tour; thus, setting the pay-per-view event Payback for such an insane conclusion.

But lest we forgot, we are entering the new era, where the authority had been admonished by the rise of the Roman empire, and a new authoritarian (though good guy) has taken over at the expense of earning the respect of his father. (Still, throwing the damn angle of their feud away.)

And just when you thought Shane McMahon has been on the roll, his sister Stephanie gets back on him at Stamford and sent a message from his father Vincent Kennedy.

But before that, let's have a rundown of WWE's annual edition of Payback that was staged once again at Rosemont, Illinois.

A Run For the Money

Seems this past WrestleMania signaled an era where things have changed in both gradual and abrupt manners.

Well, the main event had the most predictable and boring finish we had ever seen. In the other end, we also saw Shane McMahon eventually taking over the Authority’s helm thanks to the rallying crowd behind him against Vince McMahon.

All that despite losing to The Undertaker, the a-must stipulation to do so.

Perhaps if there’s any other best brawl for Mania, it’s this Hell in a Cell match. And frankly enough they have redeemed themselves from having a poor, illogical booking here. It was nothing but a fantastic match so to speak.

PlayBack: MONEY-Making Dive

As of writing time, I haven't seen the entirety of WretsleMania 32. It had lukewarm receptions by having some awesome matches (specifically, the Hell in a Cell match, ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, and the triple threat match for the WWE Divas Women's Championship) and a fucked-up main event between Triple H and Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Plus the fact about this program lasted almost five hours. Ouch.
