It was a blockbuster Saturday evening wherein events are like “here, there, and everywhere”; making the nightlife and music scene alive and vibrant after a while (Who says our local music died in the first place?!).
And amidst the controversial surrounding the word usage and ticket prices during their preparation phase, MCA Music was still able to stage the event called Get Music Indie-Go at the Mall of Asia arena. Yes, despite the delay of time schedule, lack of needed hype, and watching attendance spanning around hundreds of people.

The Scene Around: Monster Indie Ground 2
Monster RX 93.1 is giving the country's
music scene a much even stronger exposure courtesy of Indie Ground, a
music program that gives several bands from the indies a chance to be
heard in the metro-wide radio.
And that being said, Monster Indie
Ground staged three bar tours during their anniversary month (August
2016). Yours truly managed to storm by Black Kings Bar at West
Triangle in Quezon City for the second leg of the event.

It's interesting to see the mall giant SM taking one step in appreciating the country's music scene, especially in their 30th year in the business. And while Beatstroked proved they could handle such events at the Eastern side of the Metro (Taytay, Rizal, to be exact), Marikina was the stage to showcase the up-and-comers during that fateful evening of Friday, 20 May 2016, as SM City Marikina celebrated Indiefest Summer Music Festival.

As part of the celebration of 30 years of shopping, SM Supermalls have been staging several festivities. We have seen Taytay, Rizal rocked last Friday night when they staged Beatstroked, the biggest Summer Music Festival in the East, featuring Parokya Ni Edgar, Mayonnaise, and a lot of notable bands in the music industry.
Last Sunday, Tanya Markova and other musicians have rocked SM City San Mateo with their Summer Music Party.
Now, it's Marikina's turn to waged a music fest of their own as SM City Marikina brings you Indiefest, Summer Music Festival. And it featured the very first gathering of indie scene's finest!
