Author's Note: Last month, a pool of Filipino talents in various fields gathered to develop solutions in such a remote manner during NASA's International Space Apps Challenge. The US-based space agency has collaborated with their colleagues from other countries to stage the virtual hackathon with the objective of developing more answers to today's challenges that emerge around the world, with most emphasis on this year's plagued by Corona Virus pandemic (COVID-19).

A dengue case forecasting system using space data made by Filipino developers won the 2019 National Aeronautics and Space Administration's International Space Apps Challenge.
