Our two teams had been recently selected by the United States space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), European Space Agency (ESA), and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) as global finalists for the all-virtual Earth Observation Dashboard Hackathon held last this past June.

Newsletter: Filipinos developed solutions at home together with NASA

Author's Note: Last month, a pool of Filipino talents in various fields gathered to develop solutions in such a remote manner during NASA's International Space Apps Challenge. The US-based space agency has collaborated with their colleagues from other countries to stage the virtual hackathon with the objective of developing more answers to today's challenges that emerge around the world, with most emphasis on this year's plagued by Corona Virus pandemic (COVID-19).
